My husband and I recently visited Sam Snead's Tavern in Maitland, Fl. It was our first time, even though we are locals. We decided to sit near the bar because my husband wanted to watch the Magic playoff game. The atmosphere was just our style, because even though there were plenty of Magic fans and the game was on every TV, it never seemed like a sports bar. I had heard the food was great, hoewever I was worried about the service in the bar area. To my delight it was not only great food, but excellent service as well. Our waitresses name was Darcy. She seemed to be very busy, however she managed to make us feel like we were not rushed at all and walked us through our choices. She also answered all of our questions with patience considering we had a lot as it was our first time. I would definately go again and recommend it to all of my friends. I love this place. The food is absolutely fantastic. The mahi mahi sandwich is my favorite. Now, they have this thing called tbl-tx where I can text my take out order before I get there, so its ready when I want it. No charge for the service, either. Its perfect for my lunch break at work. I don't have to waste time. I can't wait until tbl-txt is there for dining in! I just hate waiting for my check when I'm ready to leave. Hear that, Wildside? We want tbl-txt full service in your delicious establishment!!
We went on a Friday night. items on the salad bar were ok. Mac and cheese was good. Most items were just warm. At the table, the meats were fair at best.. Most were just warm..the brisket was fabulous. Four bbq sauces were placed on table in bottles with mason jar type caps. Difficult and awkward. no one wants to wrestle with a cap especially when the meat is already cold. They did taste good. Water was not refilled. For just a little more $ go to texas d brazil and you won't be disappointed.
I went to the Relax Grill recently and wasn't too impressed. I joined a few co-workers for happy hour (even though I no longer partake in drinking alcohol). They complained that the server didn't come back to our table to take advantage of happy hour prices. They were happy when it started to rain because I guess they got a free shot when that happens. I enjoyed their happy hour deal on the food which tasted fine.
Truly enjoyed my dining experience from start to finish . The owner and staff are friendly and very attentive . The food is delicious. Ordered beef brisket with smoked corn on the cob, homemade macaroni and cheese, and red cabbage slaw . The beef was very tender and melt in your mouth moist . The sauces are homemade as well . Can't wait to go back and say there again . Absolute must try !
By far, the very best bbq place in Orlando and I have tried them all. Servings are generous. Large selection of tasty sides. Excellent service. Desserts that are well worth the calories. Great atmosphere with attention to details. Live music in the evenings. Very reasonable prices. Also, a great place to watch football games!
While on vacation in Orlando we were on a mission to find the best place for dinner. Look no further Sonny's BBQ is it. They have great service, unbelievable prices, and quality food. Very satisfied with our visit and plan to return when we are back in town. Our server Chris was the man!
Stayed at hotel last night. Ate at the Italian restaurant on property. Nothing but 'Best Of' here. Fab food, special prepared off-menu. Perfect service from entire staff. Hotel room was perfect in every convenience expected. I plan to return. Thanks folks. Well done.
