Attorney's knowledge of the law is embarrassing. Jon B. Lindeman, Jr. believes sending an email with a letterhead on it makes it correct when a simple google search will tell you more about the law. Currently trying to back out of an all cash deal that is closing in less than a week.

I hired Mr Pedersen to handle my bankruptcy. He is honest and sincere in his work ethic. His fee was fair and reasonable. He not only handled my bankruptcy, but he also gave me excellent advice and took the time out of his work day to meet at my CPAs office, to assist me with tax questions/answers. He never charged me anything more for this and has always been extremely kind. I am so thankful I found him. He has also handled a bankruptcy for a dear elderly friend and she is also very happy with the services she received.
RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! I have been with Advocate Law Groups of Florida for 3 years and after paying them over $20,000 I have not gotten any results. I called bank myself and they told me ALGOF has not contacted them in years. I contacted ALGOF and they could not provide me any information saying otherwise. I dropped ALGOF and called the bank myself to get a modification. WITHIN 2 MONTHS I GOT MYSELF A MODIFICATION FOR FREE THAT DROPPED MY PAYMENT TO LESS THEN HALF!!! To my understanding ALGOF has untrained negotiators that never respond to my calls. They have very little negotiators that cannot support the workload and your file is worked once every 3 months!!! LOAN MODIFICATIONS AND THE APPLICATION IS DESIGNED FOR CUSTOMERS TO DI IT THEM SELF!!! Last time I went the office they had posted also as Lindeman Commercial Capital Lending and Lindeman Title and Escrow. I said to my self if they don't even have the capacity to focus on foreclosures why are they branching out to make the foreclosure department worse?
I would NOT recommend this rude, arrogant, disrespectful , Money hungry, and disciplined by Florida Bar attorney to anyone.
I work for a very well known mortgage company in the modification department. Advocate law groups of Florida is one of the third party attorney's who we deal with. Let me start off by saying please do not trust this company. They will not make saving your home a priority. I deal with so many third party companies who are in business to assist with modifications and I can promise you they are by far the worse. They will drag your file along for months and years only to get money out of you. I can promise you, you can get a decision for a modification in less than 30 days. I normally get my clients a decision in 2 weeks. Now please keep in mind the speed of decision depends on how quick YOU or YOUR THIRD PARTY gets the documents to us. We as your mortgage company tell you exactly up front what we need from you and typically give you a 48hr turn around time to return the documents. The quicker we get them the quicker we can get you a decision. Advocate law groups of Florida will send us an authorization with a cease and desist which means we are in no way able to communicate with our customer and can only communicate with their law office. This makes it extremely difficult to get anywhere and I'll tell you why. We typically call out our customer and/or third parties on a daily basis when in a modification review. I called out to advocate law groups of Florida for about 3 weeks straight every single day and never once had they answered. I was finally able to speak to an individual from there (only bc that person was calling in to check on a status for a file that belonged to another representative in my department) I advised that individual that the representative with our company who was assisting with the particular file had been trying to get in contact with advocate law groups of Florida for about a month calling daily and we have been unable to get through or get any calls returned. She stated the way they operate is to only follow up with the files every two weeks. She stated they did not work on modifications daily like we did. I advised her it was unacceptable to take so long to provide us documents, but also unacceptable to not answer or return calls bc after all we should both have the same goal in mind which is to assist with saving the customer home by doing so in a quick and timely manner. Let me also tell you how silly this "status call" was. She called wanting to get a status on the modification. I told her it was the same since the last time we spoke with her which was 2 weeks ago. I told her, "2 weeks ago we advised you what we were still needing, we have yet to receive anything so help me understand why you are calling to check on the status?" Helloooo... If you haven't sent us anything how the heck do you think we will have some updated news for you?? She then stated "ok I will follow up with the customer again and call you back in 2 weeks." After I started telling her how unacceptable it was to operate in that way she hung up. This particular file had been opened for 3 months which is rare to see in the modification department with the company I work for. If there was no cease and desist we would definitely be able to reach out ourselves to the customers directly and advise of what we are still needing and advise how the third party they hired and paid lots of money to is not sending us the proper documents in a timely manner or returning any of our calls!
