We drove 30 minutes to get here. They didn't have any black bean soup or rice. When we tried to order something else they didn't take credit cards. Lady wasn't very friendly. Never got to taste the food.
Parking is horrible. Hard to find parking. Waited in line for over 10 minutes with only one person in front of me. Ordered an item from the bakery area it was try and coagulated. I proceeded to order food from the lunch bar. I ordered the rice with gandules. I also had a side of stewed chicken, and compliment of sweet plantains. I also ordered a side salad. The chicken was horrible I only had one cup half of a leg of chicken and 1 small chunk of something that seemed to me like a piece of chicken meat probably have a sore breast or something elements within the school itself only for flavor but she's out with some people can't open this. Also the serving quantity was very off balance. Where's my salad? I never received my salad. The chicken the service was okay but nothing too crazy about spending $10.04. I cannot give this place a good ratings an experience. This is my experience I would recommend this to anyone that has $10 to spend on lunch it is not a good idea. You get better service and better food at a Chinese restaurant.
Went expecting more with a party of 8, had a reservation and they tried to stuff us at a small table when there was plenty of room. The service was ok, most of the employees were just standing around looking at everyone especially on the 2nd floor starring down. Not to mention the cheapest entree was about $25.00 and the food was extremely bland as well as dried out with the chicken I ordered. Meals were ordinary and very traditional simple plates not to mention small portions for the amount paid. Heard the one in Miami was better but after this I doubt I'll take that chance on it.
Visited here several times. They have lots of options to eat and drink. Mickey waffles for breakfast are a must.
Si estas buscando un lugar para comer comida cubana este lugar es perfecto, grande y bien familiar. Buen provecho
Sandwiches were not what I expected. I don't know what kind of cheese they put on the sandwich but it smelled awful and tasted bad . Cuban sandwich was horrible. They didn't even put pickles on it. I waited for over 30 minutes for a ham, egg and cheese sandwich..Hot food side was great. Staff very friendly.. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice.
The food I've had here has been great! My favorite is the fried snapper. Omg! I love it. Also , the goat and plantains.
My husband is in rehab at a nearby place and part of his rehab was an outing into the public. My husband is in a motorized wheelchair and was unable to enter the restaurant due to there being a step up into entering the door and the door width is not wheelchair accessible. We ate on the porch on a bench. The rest of the party we were with ate inside. We asked if they possibly had a back entrance and was told no.So since they do not have a back door must be all there delivery's and trash go out the front of the restaurant. They said that we should of made sure it was wheelchair accessible before we went there. They never once apologized or offered us any assistance at all. We had called ahead and ordered our meals. So felt it would of been rude to just leave and go somewhere else. The owner told me it would cost him to much money to make changes to the building. The food was OK but I felt they did not care about our business at all. I know the rehab will not go back there for another outing. Neither will I. So if you have anyone with any kind of handicap they are not going to try to make it easier for you.
I went to Old Cuban Cafe about two weeks a go. They have the best cuban food in Orlando. The black beans are very good, the congris, onion steak, everything was delicious. The only bad thing is that the place was crowded and my food was a little bit delay but its was the best. Thanks, i will be back soon.
