We normally go to No1 on North Ave and it is always excellent but due to a power outage today we went to No 1 on Appleton Ave. EVERYTHING was overcooked and dried out. We order the 20 piece wing, all of the wings were so dried out that we threw most of them out. The fried rice, which we had to pay extra for and normally don't at North Ave was somewhat dried out and the pan fried dumplings, even with the sauce, were totally overcooked. This No1 gives No 1 a bad reputation. Too bad
I will mever order online or from this restaurant again. They charged me an $8 delivery fee to wait over 2 hours for cold food. Then i asked if i could get fresh hit good sent out sonce my kids and i waited so long and i paid so much, i was told "we keep our food hot".... NEVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN
Food was delicious. Waitress and owner rude. We asked for another soda we understood that there were no free refills and would be charged. Didn't get one. Asked again and they brought one with check then hovered over us as we paid with credit then asked for more tip then we left. we had an infant with us who ate some rice and they proceeded to call her dirty even though she made less mess then half the patrons. Then they told us not to come back, After I scratched out the tip we were leaving.
all-business carry-out with simple, carry-out atmosphere: when hungry for quality Chinese, this family-owned and operated (including 2 teenage boys) is great. Excellent traditional flavors, light but substantial soups, everything very reasonably priced. my goal is to try everything at least once. There's one table that's great for a not-fussy single or duo wanting to eat there.
The atmosphere is outdated. The service is sometimes iffy. The food is some of the best in the Milwaukee area. I don't mind the décor and I will tolerate the service because the food is that good. I have been coming here for over 20 years and there is like, one other Chinese restaurant in the Milwaukee area that compares food-wise. And I have been to China, and I have been to San Francisco. I think I know Chinese food pretty well.
Very tasty and fresh Chinese food! Dine in, carry out, they do delivery and got a drive thru too. Love this place!
It is a newly opened Chinese restaurant. The food, the people, the dining environment are just great.
I love food wiuld eat there everyday, only problem is the pricing they could lower it a dollar or two
Don't let the small size of this restaurant and being next next to a gas station fool you, they have dine in/carry out. The service is fast and friendly. What keeps me coming back is no where i eat it or reheat it, it is always Delicious to the very last bite. I highly recommend trying them, you won't be disappointed.
The best Chinese food in the city. I like the fact that you are able to add additional order of shrimp in your shrimp orders.
