I went to get sugar for my drink, I overheard a black haired woman say something to the cashier about no one being in the art gallery. Instead of being mature adults and telling me anything, I approached the cashier and asked if there was an issue with me being in the art gallery. She said the area was closed off. No sign stated this. I moved to the entrance of the shop. The woman kept walking over and looking at me. After the 2nd time, it was obvious she was clocking me. I didn't move for 2 1/2 hours until I used the bathroom right before I left. After 3 blocks a male employee stops me and asked if the Ipod I had was mine. Shocked, I said "no." He "left his on the table in the back." I asked "Do you need proof?" He said "I'm just asking." I just walked away. This was intentional infliction of emotional distress and I truly feel discriminated against. It was inappropriate, unprofessional and completely racist. I urge people not to support a place that would do such a thing to anyone.
Great hidden gem coffee shop in Humboldt. Cool atmosphere and doughnuts are worth splurging too.
The atmosphere is very comfortable with a great amount of seating without leaving customers sitting on top of one another. I usually order the Earl Gray Vanilla Creme tea; it's my absolute favorite hot beverage! And Argo does it right, it's the perfect blend of creme, vanilla, and of course, earl gray. What I really love about Argo is that they offer unique combinations and twists on tea drinks, which in my opinion, makes them the best tea cafe around. I recommend it to everyone I know without hesitation. In addition to offering a quick tea while you're on the go, they also offer a great selection of bulk loose leaf tea, as well as the accessories necessary for purchase to make your own teas at home. The tea is wonderful, the baked goods are delicious, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere leaves nothing to be desired. Argo Tea is THE place to go!
