My girlfriend and I came here for restaurant week. While I have had drinks at the bar previously, neither she nor I had ever dined here. Upon our entry, Adam, the host, made us feel very welcome and sat us in the main dining room. After our water glasses were filled, we were greeted by Susan,…

Great service, great bar selection and awesome food. Nice intimate atmosphere. Bubbies potato pancakes are to die for. Although I wish they would bring back the New Orleans style shrimp dish.

We often pull out old recipes that are very specific concerning what pasta, prosciutto, cheese or sauce to be used. Jimmy's will have it. Most items in the grocery store, including the wine, are what we would buy in Italy at Despar; but be forewarned the prices are not.\r \r Order up a sandw…

I ordered the Chili and Eggs: two over easy fried eggs top a giant bowl of meaty spicy chili with a sprinkle of cheese between the two. The eggs were perfect: they 'ran' as I sliced into the yolk all over the chili and added that little bit of tastiness to the whole experience. Get it.

I've grown up in Dallas and have long assumed that any restaurant atop Reunion Tower was for tourists. I've eaten at Antares and always felt that I was paying for the view and putting up with the food. I was hoping Wolfgang Puck's place would improve upon that opinion and indeed, it has. That…

Oh I do love me some Capital Grille. The service here is impeccable. This is one of the only restaurants where the servers are in the practice of handing out business cards that I actually end up KEEPING them. Service really is that good. But of course, good service isn't enough. Gladly, I can r…

I had a chance to take my date to a wonderful steakhouse. I have lived in Dallas for nine years and always gone to Bob's and most recently Ocean Prime. Another guest at Ocean Prime told me about Nick and Sams. Boy, was I blown away from the moment I walked in. From the door to the check ever…

I called to book a January brunch in November for 20+ people to celebrate my daughter's baptism at another restaurant in town - The Screen Door. Two weeks before the brunch (and after invitations had gone out) the Screen Door emailed me to let me know management decided to close on Sundays . . …
Really large portions, enough for two people to share. Server was very good at explaining meal options. This place is authentic - NO RANCH DRESSING - :) Nice classy environment. Cozy atmosphere. We would definitely eat here again.
Bob's is a great place to go with family and friends to enjoy an exceptional meal with a wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend Bob's to anyone, not sure why anyone would have a negative review.

Ordered the Lamb Shank for dinner: lamb was ok, it was not heated through, not fall of the bone tender but it rubbery either. It actually tasted like it came off the holding-tray into my bowl without being reheated. The crab dip appetizer was kind of bland at "medium heat": not sure how it c…

I have been to this place twice. Love this place. They have the best bbq that I have had in my 7 years in Dallas. It is moist and has great flavor. I love the meaty, saucy ribs, but the beef brisket and fowl were excellent as well. Order some of this to go. Pick it up and open a bottle of …

I had seen this place but never had an interest in stopping in until I was checking out at the Tom Thumb just a few doors away. A young man named Crockett told me they have the best wings way better than Wingstop when I told him I was on my way to Wingstop to pick up an order. 3 days later for lunch I decided to visit after viewing their website the food looked so good, I was excited to try their food and I wasn't disappointed . I ordered the chicken philly cheesesteak combo that comes with wings , celery sticks, pink lemonade and ranch dressing. I ordered lemon pepper wings. Since they were out of menus I wrote their menu in a notebook I had in my purse. I ordered a side of french fries when I noticed on the menu they wouldn't be part of the combo I ordered. I was totally satisfied and amazed how good the chicken philly cheesesteak was it is to die for. I have a new hot spot not far from work or home that I can visit. I took a pic and posted it on facebook to let friends know of this little gem.
About the Lunch Buffet..... SO much better than your typical lunch buffet bar. I was super impressed by this place. I honestly feel that the salad bar is top notch and is a smaller version comparable to a Souper Salad. There was so much more variety than I expected since they packed a great deal of different food into the bar. If you're on a diet like me and your friends pick this place you're still in the clear! They seemed to have interesting combos on their pizza toppings too. They had the typical pepperoni and such, but a couple of different pizzas for those who like to sample other types of pizza. Awesome garlic herb and cheese twisted bread sticks! Pretty cool, I hope this place does well. In my opinion definitely worth checking out. I wish I had earlier because I live so close!
Dee Lincoln mentioned her cajun background, which may explain why the Crispy Oysters were the star of my dining experience along with the Bananas Foster Crumble. I’m impressed with the breading and comfort feeling after taking a bite of the oysters, and the sweetness of the bananas foster transported me to a New Orleans cafe. These items left me wanting more. I think the real lesson here is that if you eat here, the Cajun items are the way to go. Also, the Sushi Pizza intrigued me. The creamy sauce spiked with Sriracha and lots and lots of wasabi tobiko (flying fish roe flavored with Japanese horseradish) onto ahi tuna and tempura rice crust to pull it together. It’s a great starter or snack to enjoy while you dine here.
Excellent fried chicken which is far superior to the big-name places. They also have tons of things which aren't on the online menu like sandwiches, catfish, fried livers & *corn fritters* which are 2die4 good! BIG portions of side orders like spicy rice (yummy!), fries & mashed potatoes. The only downside is they're often busy and it's not uncommon to wait, but their food is well worth any minimal delay. Actually, I was stunned to see they'd received two such low ratings here, so 4 stars from me is probably more realistic. Still, we've eaten at Williams 10-15 times and barring the occasional wait, I cannot recall EVER being disappointed with the food.
First of all Liu's is a Chinese Restaurant, they do not specialize in 'BBQ ribs and Chicken where chicken 'grizzle' would be present. My significant other and I decided to try them today and WHAT A Treat! We liked the food so much we decided to find a "Review Website" and rate them. Maybe just be mindful that english is not their first language. The lady was friendly and diligent so she made it easy to order. The food was well made, Very tasty and better than some of the more expensive Chinese Restaurants we frequent. And, for us, it was take out. It was our first and NOT our last time ordering with Liu's Restaurant!
So I enjoy a good baked potato as much as the next guy and about the only time I have it is usually roped with BBQ chopped beef and sauce. So I figured I'd enjoy this place. Make your own or order from preset options, I got the #4 Creamed Beef on a regular potato (you can get a sweet potato for no extra cost). Assembly is similar to subway/chipotle style, everything Premade is piled on top of the now flattened-in-a-plate baked potato. It was hot and filling. Flavors? Mild is a nice word for it. It was an experience. I probably will not be back though.

Service is very laid back around here (like slow). With only 4-guests in the place I'm it sure they could cope with a full house. Ordered the Kale Caesar salad plus the Fig & Pig pizza for lunch today. They ran out or forgot to make Croutons but they went ahead and served it anyway with a "we'll make croutons if you want it" after the fact attitude. Sheesh! The pizza was delicious and made up for the otherwise forgettable experience.
The Vegetarian Soup lacked salt but was otherwise tasty. The beef stew with eggplant was served with saffron rice and a side salad with a delicious yogurt dressing: the rice was, well, rice and the stew was overly salted but had good pieces of beef and the eggplant was not slimy (a great thing). Staff are friendly but they do hover a little too much for my liking. I'm not sure why they are playing nonstop Christmas music though LOL
