I was wondering if you are able to sell some frozen breadfruit...there are other asian markets in northern california that sell this product. It is a common fruit in Guam and the marianas islands, including the philippines. It is sometime mistaken as jackfruit, but it really is a different fruit. I hope you'll be able to sell it, since I have not been able to find it anywhere in San Diego. Also in Guam a product from Japan call "Yours" Lemon Powder is a favorite item that we have not been able to find here. Mind you if some of the Guamainian and Filipinos know you are selling these items it will be a news worthy to pass on to our fellow friends and family.....I hope you'll make the effort to provide these items...it will be a great reminder of home sweet home...meanwhile I continue to shop at your store, because although "H" market and Vieng Hong is there as well as Seafood City...we love the atmosphere and the cleanliness and hospitality we receive each time we come to your establishment. Thank you and I hope that one day these things will be found in your shelf soon.
when you eat at Truluck's you're not just having dinner, it is an entirely different experience... not only will you be sampling the finest Seafood…

My husband and I were very disappointed with Brigantine. We wanted a romantic date night and heard this place was fabulous, so we made a reservation for Saturday night and drove almost 50 minutes to get here. Parking was ridiculous, come prepared to park on the street... the "parking lot" is incredibly small and PACKED. Once we got inside the restaurant the hostess made us wait for almost 20 minutes even though we had reservations. When we finally got to our table we had to sit in a dark corner near a window looking into a sketchy alley. Not quite the romantic evening we envisioned. Our service was slow and the food was bland. I've had better seafood pasta at the Olive Garden. We practically had to yell in each others ears to speak to one another because it was so ridiculously loud in there. Definitely won't be coming back here again.
We sat at the oyster bar thinking it would be quicker service...but we were very wrong! The food is great...when we were able to order it! We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before they took our drink order...and another 10 minutes to bring us the beer...which was only about 5 feet away since we were at the bar! Bottom line the bar service was absolutely horrible!!! The food was delicious but a bit on the pricy side...$16.95 for ONE crab cake! Overall...good food but do not sit at the bar!!
My wife and I went here for our anniversary, with oysters and ahi on the brain. Both far exceeded or expectations. Tried the crab stuffed prawns wrapped in bacon. Pretty darn tasty. On Taco Tuesday don't expect to sit in the bar area. Happy hour is 5pm - 7pm I believe. This place was hoppin, which leads me to believe their tacos are great like everything else. Service was great, fast and efficient. Prices very reasonable for the quality of food and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
The only way to get fresher fish is to catch it yourself. Be prepared to wait, the line is out the door sometimes. Don't worry...it will be worth the wait. You choose your fish, how you want it cooked, and what you want with it. You can peruse the menu while you are waiting to place your order. The Ahi tacos are HUGE, the dinner plates come with a large piece of fish, rice and salad (plenty of food) I highly recommend Blue Water Seafood, get out there and try it!
i HAVE BEEN TO SEAFOOD ISAND MANY TIMES NOW, EACH TIME I GO IT SEEMS LIKE THE FOOD GETS BETTER; I HAVE TRIED MANY DIFFERENT ITEMS ON THE MENU,THE FOOD IS ALWAYS HOT AND SEASONED PERFECTLY. THE CHINESE AND VIETNAMESE FOODS ARE BOTH OUTSTANDING,THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS GOOD AND THE FOOD SERVER WILL REMEMBER YOU,GIVE IT TRY AND YOU WILL BE BACK.
Three of us went there to dine on 1/24/2016, all of us ordered something different, I ordered the Shrimp in garlic butter sauce, my husband got the Calamari and our daughter ordered the Snow and King Crab mix, our daughter loved the crab legs, my husband said his Calamari was tough and rubbery, my shrimp was like mush, you bite into them and it was like eating shrimp flavored mush with a garlic butter sauce,
love this place for a quick bite and a beer but I take the wife and kids in twice a month for a great, reasonably priced dinner. Excellent seafood and really good soups. Wife likes the ribeye steak, I'm a New Englander, so I love the lobster roll and Boston chowda combo. My kids think the ribs are the best they've had. Friendly and homespun food and atmosphere. Go there if you haven't been!
when you eat at Truluck's you're not just having dinner, it is an entirely different experience... not only will you be sampling the finest Seafood you have ever tried but the service staff will make your dining experience entertaining and pleasurable with their professional expertise. They have South African Lobster, the Rolls-Royce of lobsters! So good!!!
Being from out of town I went looking for some great fish at a major restaurant near Mitch's, but it was closed by 7. I am so glad it was! Mitch's was open and hoppin inside! I had three different tacos: grilled shrimp, fried cod, and grilled halibut. It was a delicious platter for a reasonable price. Service was friendly. Glad I found this hidden gem.
