This was my go to pho restaurant. The beef and broth were great. Sometimes, I'd change it up and get grilled chicken with rice -- it'd always hit the spot. But now I'm dating a Vietnamese lady, and she thinks this place isn't good.So we don't go here anymore. But I still do. By myself.
The restaurant so clean, good service.. Foods is great. Special beep soup ( pho bo ) the price is fair compare to another vietnamese restaurant. also for grand openning, they have special discount on Nem nuong only $1.00 per roll. Taste was gooooood... Highly recommend it to everybody love vietnamese foods.
Authentic, quality, courteous, and affordable Vietnamese restaurant tucked away in this S. San Diego strip mall next to a grocery store. If you're looking for some great banh mi or pho, this is the place to go! Service was quick! Prices were fair! Portions were huge! Food was tasty!
The pho and service here are great! When we arrived, we were seated immediately and ordered our food right away. Within 5 minutes our spring rolls arrived and pho soon followed. All and all a good experience.
They use too serve way more beef and noodles, now not so much. It's like they fill you up on broth.
Three of us dined Wednesday night 10/07 around 6:00PM. We ordered fried shrimp with garlic and butter, beef and broccoli, combo soft noodle with veggies, meat and shrimp.- all suffered serious inadequate seasonings- the latter 2 dishes were covered with so much glue-like tasteless starchy sauce, no seasoning, inedible. It's the kind of starchy fluid that gave low quality Chinese restaurants bad reputation!- before ordering, we inquired about the cost for their crispy fish for 3. $44 to $100.- Many of their dishes cost more than at Phuong Trang, just a few minutes up Convoy street.Overall, it was a disappointed night out, especially with our daughter visited from the bay area. Not a place we'll visit again.
Pho with good quality meat as the name indicates. Try their Steigel Radler with your meal.
Awesome place for Pho and if you like beef they you should try the 7 course beef.
If you want good fast Pho this spot has it.
I started going there in 99'. I've the change of ownership passed to current owner Victor to countless waiters I've that have come and gone. Many of them I've befriended. Anyhow, I used to go at least three times a week to order my #25 ALWAYS. Wife would get Mongolian beef which still by far the best. HOWEVER, the quality and quantity has dropped significantly. The service has gotten even worse and with those combination of those three factors I stopped going to this place 8 months ago. Sorry Victor...My family and I wish u the best. Word to the wise, if you liked their special chili oil sauce that sits on the tables, make sure there are no dead flies in there. Its difficult to see them until its too late. It happened to me 5 times on seperate occasions and at different tables. Fortunately by the time I scooped the chili oil sauce into my bowl, the dead fly would already have floated to the surface. BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS.I like to call myself a "Pho Connoisseur" and this place used to be one of my favorite places to come back to after being out the country. Now I can't even drive by this place without feeling nauseous but at the same time pitty for such a wonderful family restaunt to now becoming a sespool of filth. Rude and forgetful waitors also are bring down a nice little touch that Victor added to the menu.
