Brake Specialists Total Car Care

I would have never given this place even 1 star, but had no choice. Never go to this place. My car overheated while I was visitng family in Lakeway from Houston. I left it with my parents and they took it to Brake Specialist Plus. The next weekend I can back to get my car, wasn't even 20 minutes away from family when it started to get hot. My husband, who is a mechanice (but wasn't with me the first visit) pulled over and let it cool down. We were ready to head back to Houston and didn't even make it to Elgin when it did start overheating really bad. Once again pulled over and my husband found that the hose that was replaced by Brake Specialist wasn't even tighted, so all the coolant was just spraying out. Thankfully my husband was with me this time and fixed it. There were other problems with my car but we just needed to get it back to Houston for him to fix. Adam at Brake Specialist Plus told me and my husband that he didn't care and wasn't going to refund any of the money. $200 wasted. I would never take it somewhere that says there are other problems as an excuse for not tightening clamps for the hose that THEY replaced. ASC certfied?? OK.

This shop is VERY busy as there was hardly a place to park when I showed up.I went in without an appointment and was still able to get my car the same day even though they said they could not guarantee it.I really wanted it back though as I only have 1 car and Adam said they would try to accomadiate me the best they could.Well he called me at 7pm to let me know it was done and I did not answer-He left a message and put the keys in it and said he would call Monday for payment as it was a Sat!! They close at 530 and stayed late to finish it on a Sat!! I want to personally thank Adam as I know its impossible to make everyone happy but I was one of the lucky ones this round!! I will be back!!

I can honestly say I am not one to take very good care of my car and usually wait till something breaks before I go to a repair garage-It always ends up costing alot at that point but money isnt always available for me so I do what I can when I can-I stopped in here as I saw it was so busy and figured Id see what it was like-I am so impressed with the service manager Adam-He was so nice and friendly-There were 3 other people in there with me and they were all repeat customers who go there because of him and I can see why-I actually ended up spending less than what I anticipated and will be making this my place now because of how I was treated and how he treated people while I was there-If your looking for a "family garage" go see him-
