Food was tasty as always. The service was horrible. I was in line waiting to pay and I noticed I was the only one that got asked to show my ID when it came to pay. The gentleman in front of me didn't get carded for using his card and the other person behind dint either but for some odd reason they felt they needed to ask for my ID when I gave them my debit card. I've never felt so embarrassed and insulted.

Cashiers are always texting on their cell phones, being really rude, everytime I order to dine in or to go they always have attitudes. She's lucky she wasn't wearing a name tag! I really think Donn's should consider hiring other cashiers who actually want to work...
The Pit in my opinion is the most unethical business establishment in all of Austin TX. Plain and simple fact is that I parked in one of their parking spots to grab a TAKE OUT order of pizza next door. I was in and out in 5 min to have come back to my vehicle that had been booted. The attendant from "Public Parking Enforcement" the company hired by "The Pit" BBQ just waits in her car until you leave your car and immediately boots it. When I came back out to my vehicle with a boot and sticker on it she magically appears from around the corner to demand $150 to unboot car. She asks Cash or Debit, really ? Pretty assumptive. Jessica Hansen. I could see the elderly female owner washing dishes through the side door. After the boot coming off and paying $150 for 5 min of parking I asked the elderly woman if she was the owner. She said yes. I then asked if public parking enforcement was a scam. She said no. I asked if they work for the Pit BBQ. She proceed to lie to my face in obvious attempt to save face and said "No they work around the state monitoring certain businesses." She obviously and blatantly hires this company during peak time to get as much CASH as she can because their restaurant was terrible and had about 2 cars in their parking lot. The rest are open spots just waiting for Pinthouse Pizza patrons that "The Pit" thrives on to extort $150 out of to keep their door opens. The Pit in my opinion has the WORSE business ethics of any company in Austin TX. This restaurant and owners give this thriving area of Austin a bad name !!
Very good speedy service and very kind workers ... food is excellent and great prices as well ......
Always enjoy eating here. I had an ankle replacement, so I just go in, find a table and they bring my food to me. Great service. Priced right.
we eat here every couple of weeks, It's pretty great for a chain bbq restaurant, don't forget the sweet tea!
Yummy brisket, but not worth 3 hour wait in line if you have a job! If they had an option to get food without waiting, then I'm in.
Very unfriendly staff. So so barbeque. Everything costs extra. Peach cobbler was good.
The food was yummy, Enjoyed the ambiance and the service was also good
Worst place ever. I came in one day last summer, and ordered some bbq sausages to go. The guy looked at me and picked up all the leftover end pieces of sausages in the tray and threw those in the to go box. I had to dump those when I got home as some of those are dried up and not even fresh.
