Best Family-Friendly Pizza Restaurant on Upper West Side! Dean's Pizzeria is our neighborhood favorite. It's the ideal spot for families with kids because it's huge and can handle larger groups. You don't need to worry about the noise. It's loud anyway so if your kid is crying, you don't have to get paranoid. We love the pizzas. They're not greasy, no too cheesy-- you actually feel healthy eating a slice. Grandma's Pizza is our favorite. It's old-fashioned square pizza and guaranteed to fill you up. But, there's a slew of other menu items outside of the pies. From pastas to family-sized salads to and meat dishes to awesome sides like our fave, garlic broccoli, there's something for everyone. Best part, often times you can just walk in without a reservation. The service is friendly and accommodating. We've never left hungry or dissatisfied. But, don't forget, this restaurant I'd family-friendly. If you are looking for an intimate quiet place to eat, you won't find that at Dean's. Get ready for large parties, strollers and birthday celebrations.
Fresh Food Market and Deli is a rare experience in customer service! I contacted Mo from Indiana to schedule a breakfast deliveries for a seminar in NY. On the other end of the line I found a cordial, kind gentleman focused on customer satisfaction and a level of service that was astounding. Mo faxed menus and helped me plan for breakfast on 2 different days. When we had a catering glitch and needed lunch one day prior to our seminar, Mo came to our rescue. He encouraged me to make lunch choices that were delicious and economical, never overselling. (Rare in today’s market) Fresh Food Market is a simple, small store, but when you walk in Mo’s smile lights up the entire market. He treated me like family upon my arrival in NY and truly welcomed me to the city as if I were a long-time friend. I would not hesitate to recommend Mo and his store. He provides world class service, amazing food, and a customer experience that cannot be rivaled.
Ali Baba has turned into a neighbors favorite for my fiancé and I did to their consistently great service, friendly staff, and of course, reasonably price delicious food. While this isn't saying much, Ali Baba is, by far, the best restaurant in Murray Hill. Some other notes: - expect to spend ~$25pp for a split appetizer + main course - good for parents - in terms of ambiance, it's not a "cool place", so second thoughts on a first date of you're looking for a scene - you can make reservations, though the line is never over 10 minutes - ask to be seated in te back to avoid foot traffic from the front door Recommendations: hummus, the Mediterranean salad, the kebabs, and the pide. I'm sure other dishes are good as well, just, we're creatures of habit and have stuck to a combination of those dishes.
