If you have never--or not in a while-- taken a few moments out of your busy life to relax, feel at ease, and enjoy a splendid, stupendous, and remarkable Mexican meal...breeze on into this quaint harbor of Mexican Delights. I visit, commonly, the Oracle locale, and hands down this place never disappoints, even if by a narrow margin, they are more than happy to appease you. The atmosphere is warm, traditional, and FUN, and the prices are very reasonable. This is especially true when your eyes see the portion sizes, all the colors, and just the all-around food presentation. The service is above ordinary, and in some cases Extra-ordinary. The management is well focused and determined to make sure that your dining experience is top notch. The powder room is immaculate, as well as the dining area, and patio. Now for the Cuisine...There are not enough adjectives to describe the impeccable food that YOU MUST implicate upon your palate...so many taste sensations, too many to choose from, but chose you will...and you will return for more. The food presentation alone is to die for, but the flavors and taste are anything far from AMAZING!!! I've also noticed a variety of wine, beer, and other mixed drinks, with a bar inside the dining area, as well as seating off the patio accessing the bar. This IS the place to be as a couple, family, or even dining alone. This is MY favorite place to be, they have yet to disappoint me. TY El Charro!!!
I visited Casa Vicente on a Friday night with my family and I left with the most exceptional experience. Casa Vicente is not your typical restaurant where you sit down and expected to leave as soon as you get your dinner. At Casa Vicente you are expected to sit down relax and enjoy the atmosphere. They have live Flamenco on Friday and Saturday. The service was exceptional and answered all my questions and even gave me suggestion on the extensive spanish wine list. There was a great tapas list which was hard to choose from the great variety of seafood, fish, lamb, chicken, vegetarian options, rabbit, etc... The food was amazing and perfectly seasoned. My favorite was an extraordinary beef tenderloin tapa with a green peppercorn sauce over patatas pobres (spanish style mash potatoes.) The children were offered chicken nuggets that were made from scratch and fried potatoes. They absolutly loved it and is more healthy than processed chicken nuggets. The entertainment was spectacular and should not be miss. I recommend to make reservations since they are always busy on weekends. Go to Casa Vicente you will not regret it.Mike and family
Don't go. Upon my first visit on July 12, 2012, I went with a party of eight. All eight dishes were so salty, only one of us finished their dish. They should have used 1/4 to 1/2 of the amount of salt. It was so warm that we were sweating in the restaurant (I'm a native Arizonian and used to the heat, but still sweating). I asked the server to please turn the A/C on, and he apologized and said the owner set and locked the A/C thermostat. Later when my son went and complained to the manager that it was a very unpleasant experience because we were sweating, the A/C was then turned on. The host/hostess were not friendly. I noticed immediately the server was not friendly. When I was served the bill, I realized why. There was an added gratuity of 18% because of the size of our party. No wonder he felt no need to be more pleasant. We brought three relatives from San Francisco to try Mexican food in AZ. I was embarrassed for what they experienced. The fresh salsa was good and so was the mariachi band. The chips were not good. I will not be returning.
My husband and I love going to your resturuant, usually for lunch as we rarely eat dinner. We love the food, the presentation, the atmosphere. However, and I can only speak for the ladies bathroom, it leaves a lot to be desired. First there are no toilet seat covers. The floor is very dirty with bits of toilet paper all over. If it is mopped it is a very bad job. The trash can should at least be wiped down once in a while. Other than the condition of the bathroom your resturuant would be rate a 5 star with me.
Food and service were both good. I've had the mini chimi plate and split it between 2 red chili and 2 green. My husband has had the chicken flautas/taquitos. I've also had their lunch special to go -caldo de queso and a bean tostada. The soup was tasteful and flavored with green chili, however I would have preferred Mexican cheese instead of what seemed to be cheddar jack. The lunch special price is only $4.99. Portions are not huge but reasonable. We go here often.
Had enchilada lunch special came out of the kitchen really quick and really hot I could tell it was microwaved I choked on the cheese was like chewing on a rubber band stuck in my throat managed to get it out spit it in my napkin as I paid I noticed the manager was eating his lunch at bar I mentioned him that the cheese was hard like rubber bands his response was I'll check on that my my waitress just looked at him waiting for him to say something
This one is Angela's (or more accurately Angela's Sister's) on wheels NE corner of Prince & Stone. It's a taco truck, but glorious in flavor, quality and spirit! My favorites are the quesadilla, hot dog with everything (beans!) and fantastic, smooth refritos. Salsa stand looks so modest, but one of the best hot sauces I've ever had and great pickled jalepenos. Fast, friendly service and low prices. Who cares no frills?!
We had delicious authentic breakfast burritos today! The customer service from beginning to end was genuine and pfoessional. The portions are appropriately fullfiling & well priced. This is a quiet restaraunt with clean indoor/patio seating. This was our first visit here, but definitely not our last. We can't wait to return soon for more southwest classic dishes!
Would have rated a 5 but, food was great. Portion was good. Service was a little slow, place not to busy. And they don't allow me to carry my weapon ....... Yet they don't have a plan in case something would happen .. so it's off my book as a place to eat. It good food but I look at the whole " enchilada " price was a little steep.
I love LA Parrilla Suiza! There is no way to beat their chicken and tortilla soup. They have wonderful beef alambre tacos and trays of hot melted cheese with the most amazing freshly cooked corn tortillas, right there on site. You can even buy a dozen to take home, we do!La Parrilla Suiza is all around a great pleasure!
