If you are looking for an authentic Japanese sushi place, this is my favorite. You can actually speak to the 'itamae(chef)' in Japanese and order your sushi. I ask the itamae what is new and fresh, and I usually order some of those. and I've never gone wrong with their recommendations! Being from Japan, it is comforting to dine at a place that is familiar to me. And if you are curious what it might be to dine at a Japanese sushi place that is very Japanese-y, then I highly recommend this place.
Surprisingly good sushi. At first glance, I thought I was in for another mediocre experience at a dive sushi joint. But this places was actually much better than I could have hoped for. I don't eat Sushi that often because where I live, (central coast), it's hard to find decent sushi but this place I would eat at again.
I've been here several times and have enjoyed my experiences. Their fish is perfectly acceptable and their bento boxes are varied and ample. Their rolls are inventive if not entirely authentic and it's nice to people-watch from the patio area.
i highly recommend the chef's special lobster plate...great blend of sweet and spicy flavors over golden fried lobster. how could you go wrong?? definitely a dish that stands out in my mind for a standard sushi spot.
Great sushi that's consistently good. But it comes at a steep price. I would definitely recommend it for special occasions. Also, great atmosphere to converse in and maybe meet new people.
Delicious, good variety to choose from, and a fun, cool vibe. Plus you can walk-off your meal along the cliffs of Santa Monica.
Their premium yellowtail sushi and albacore belly sushi was FANTASTIC! They also have a friendly service but a VERY SLOOOW one.
The sushi was good, but not great. It's pretty expensive for what you get.
Nice place, good sushi, friendly atmosphere :)
Excellent Service. Great Menu selection.
