I signed up with at least 10 staffing firms, including two on the first page of this Yellow pages.com search. Except for at TLC, I was treated like a number at best, and in one case as a complete nuisance. It was like they couldnt wait to get me out of there. Even though TLC did not have a job for me right away they treated me with respect and gave me a few pointers as to how to magnify my search and they helped me explore other positions that I didn't think I was qualified for. I'm now working on a project position at a large financial firm that might go permanent, but frankly, I'm not sure I want to go permanent. I might like this temping thing so that I can continue to meet new people and develop new skills. I hightly recommend including TLC Staffing in your search. Call David at the front desk and tell him Mary sent you. He'll hook you up with the right recruiter for your search. Colleen is my recruiter - she's super! If you are out of work - hang in there! I think things are getting better and your next job mught be right around the corner. Mary

TLC's employees are very professional and know their customers! I was impressed by the fact that they do their own testing on-site to screen applicants and to get a better feel for how well the applicant might match a position. Also, their staff is very active in outreach and charity work in the local community, which means something to me. Not only do they spend their valuable time helping find applicants, they help applicants by their good deeds and investing more of their own time and money. A well run organization with an strong emphasis on knowing me, their customer, and I would suggest giving them a try for any critical staffing needs. -Gary
I signed up w9ith at least 10 agencies before I got to TLC. I wish I had started at the bottom of the alphabet. Their whole staff seem to really care, from the receptionist, a really nice (and handsome ;) guy, David) to the recruiters and even the accounting ladies (who fixed a recent payroll problem for me.) I've had 3 jobs since I applied a month ago and the pay is better than the $10 an hour tha other firms kept offering me. I recommend them highly, espcecially my recruiter, Colleen and her boss Shannon. Marie
This branch of the agency is terrible. The Reps have the worst attitudes on and off of the phone. There's no support , once, a position is found for you i.e. paychecks and/or paycard. If, you're released from a position expect no support finding a new position at all. A male friend of mine went for a job - the two girls took him to lunch, in addition to giving their personal cellphone numbers. I will never EVER use this agency again and suggest other's do the same.
I have been working with Go Staff for over eight months and it has been a wonderful experience! As an experienced bartender and server, I am given the opportunity work a variety of contracted jobs in San Diego to make easy, extra cash. The Go Staff girls are great at giving you different options for upcoming dates and providing all of the necessary "where and when" information. I always feel prepared and excited after excepting a bartending or serving shift!
Recently used this company to do a short distance move, from one three bedroom house to another. Manpower Moving & Storage did a good job. I had a difficult staircase to negotiate at our new house which didn't seem to be much of a problem for the crew. They came in and began prepping everything with moving blankets and shrinkwrap. I especially liked their eco-crate program, saving us at least $300 in boxes and supplies. Happy to have found these guys.
A friend of mine told me to call Manpower Movers, and when I did, I was immpressed with the sales staff and his presentation. I had a million questions, and received an answer to all of them. The movers arrived on time and did a great job, just as the person on the phone had promised me. I understand this is a tough line of work, and they have definately figured it out. I will be using them again, as well as telling others
I worked with Go-Staff since January after i was laid off, the service, preofessionalism and the quick turn around they offer is amazing, just 1 week after I got there I had my first job. Whenever they came accross ne opportunities they would call me and let me know. They listen and are willing to help you! you cannot beat that specially in difficult economic times.
I used Manpower Movers for a long distance move which started in San Diego. Brian, the owner of Manpower Movers, gave me an accurate quote, and the move went smoothly. No damage, no price gouging, and no hassles. Thanks Manpower Movers.
The staff for the human resource at Dolores hospice was extraordinary-from the admitting staff to the certified nurse's assistance. They turned the loss of our loved a peaceful and memorable experience.
