Northside Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. The school organizes various activities, including Christmas parades, monthly birthday and honor roll parties, spring festivals, penny drives and parent involvement programs. Northside Elementary School s academic curriculum includes reading, speech, science, art, music, and health and physical education. The school offers English as a Second Language and special education programs to gifted and talented students. Northside Elementary School has a cafeteria, library and media center and science laboratory. The school is located in Montrose, Colo., and is a part of Montrose County School District Re-1J, which serves students through several elementary, middle and high schools.
