This is a HORRIBLE place. It's totally bait and switch. I went there because they advertised contact lens exam for $89. They had me sign a paper that said I MIGHT have possible additional charges. The lady at the front desk said I would have to have a follow up exam. I've never had to have a follow up exam in 15 years of wearing contact lenses. It's just a scam to get more money. When I saw the doctor I told her I didn't want a follow up exam. She got very angry at that. Then when the exam was done and I went to pay $89, low and behold they were charging me $145! I told them that I brought $89 and I don't have anymore than that. They shoved that paper at me I signed that said I MIGHT have to pay more. The doctor didn't tell me about any extra charges when I was in the exam room. I am close to 60 years old and I don't have much money. I went there because they advertised $89. I didn't get the prescription or contacts from them because I can't afford to pay. Now, they sent me a bill for $135 and I'm afraid they will try to ruin my credit or try to sue me. They are bait and switch and a total rip off. I have gone to Public Counsel to try to get help with this legal matter. Do not use this place.

The office space seemed newly redone, but parking downtown was a big pain. (I had to find a nearby garage and hoof it.) Unfortunately, the doctor I saw here on my first visit left after a year.
This clinic is a disgrace and it should be shut down. It is an insult to the community that it serves. Poor quality, terrible customer service. Unprofessional, unfriendly, and extremely overpriced for its location. Please shut it down. It does not have the right to be called a Medical Center.
Horrible they break up families ..... I went in there for prenatal care and they did a drug tests without me knowing for one simple mistake now I feel like I'm being prosecuted .... Without knowing the history!!! THEY TREAT YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL I WENT THERE FOR PRENATAL CARE SAD!!!!

Mosaic Family Care Medical Group has a suprisingly clean and elegant office in El Sereno. The waiting room is a little chaotic but the examination rooms make up for that. The staff is excellent provides the best medical care.
If I could have given less than one star I would have. I went in for a physical which is supposed to be free. Over the course of talking to the nurse and doctor I mentioned I had acid reflux but was taking prilosec. They turned that into my primary reason for coming, ordered some tests and tried billing me for all of it. I argued at the desk that physicals were free and they insisted on taking their copay. Then when the test results came back I asked if they could send them to me or give me the results over the phone to which they said no come in... when I got there they charged me yet another copay and then sent me a bill for the lab work that I was never told I was going to be charged for nor approved. But my complaints don't end with my being ripped off by their sleazy billing protocol. I also spent 45 mins in the waiting room and then over an hour longer waiting in the treatment room without anybody so much as coming in and saying we will be right with you. I knew I should have turned and walked out the door when I walked in and thought wow, Ive been to nicer free clinics when I was in college. Its just a nasty facility that I would recommend you avoid... go with your gut, it looks like a sht hole and is even worse than its appearance.
Packed and over clocked. You'll wait 2 months for a checkup and when you get in there you better hope yo have a good doctor. The majority of the doctors walk into the room, barely look at you, don't want to hear your conditions, and send you on your way. I'm trying to figure out why I have cysts on my skin and horrible digestion. I had a male doctor look at my cysts and say, "Yep, that bad" and that was it. I had another doc come in, on another visit, come in and completely ignore my purpose for my visit. I had to tell her a few times I was in for blood test results. She didn't bother to look them over with me and discuss anything I should be concerned about. She did print out 1/3rd of the results and sent me home with them, clueless. I'm gonna have to wait another month to get the other results now because that's the soonest they can get me in. The staff are all overworked and stressed. The clientelle are mothers and babies and babies and toddlers. I gotta find a better place to be.
Having called 323-653-1990, I waited for over 18 mins to get a operator, which is understandable for being a free clinic. The person who answered went by the name of Kristen. Now, I have to say that I'm an empathetic person, especially towards those in need. While on the phone she seemed bothered by the call, the energy of the call was negative to. I tried to be nice and clear of what I was calling for. She asked the questions but didn't give any options if I didn't meet requirements. I then asked a question that's when her attitude started to come out. I understand its a high volume call center (I presume) but still it's a clinic and people are in need of help. I kept my voice calm and to be frank, I wanted to get off the phone as soon as possible, for I wasn't enjoying the experience. In result I decided to call elsewhere with my problem, even thou I made an appointment which was an 8 day wait. (that was the earliest date), in the end of the call she then asked me what was my problem and I told her you asked me that already. That was when I knew she didn't care. I would evaluate her people skills because it's not acceptable for someone to treated this manner. Well sorry for the long message I just wanted to give my opinion.
