Pierre's catetred a repast gathering for our family and friends in February. They traveled from the south side of Chicago, to the west side of Chicago, to deliver and set up the food. They were professional, on time, and the food was good. We were charged a very fair price, for service for 100 people. Thank You Pierre's for helping to lighten a family's load during a difficult time. Loretta Turner
I was a total wedding bridezilla (i can admit it now!) during my wedding planning process. Prime Food Caterers rolled with the punches when I changed my mind a thousand and one times about the menu, they also gave great advice about our choices. With Eduardo and the team's help, the food and drink was the last thing on my mind during our special day; it was seamless. I can't thank them enough for their flexibility, creativity and friendliness. They never seemed agitated or annoyed with my requests. My mother and Eduardo even surprised us with something we would have never thought of-- but absolutely LOVED-- an ice cream sundae bar after we had wedding cake! I felt inclined to write a review about Prime Food's amazing service!
I was at Sabroso last weekend. This restaurant combines delicious meals at reasonable prices and excellent service. Hilda our server was on top of the game. She has a contagious pleasant smile and a more contagious positive attitude. She made us feel like celebrities! In regards to the food, their charbroiled chicken was perfectly seasoned. I also tried the beef empanadas (appetizer) and they were delicious. This restaurant is on Montrose and a couple of blocks east of Pulaski. Parking is a pain sometimes but it is worth it. I'll recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family.
I will admit it is a bit out of the way, but the drive is well worth it. If we are leaving one of the many activities in the downtown area for the day, we hold out for food until we can get to peqouds. The food alone is worth it. Even though the servers always seem to be understaffed, they dont take it out on us. They still give each table time and service. Not enuf tables, our only problem, even though there is an upstairs, the must have only certain hours for it to be open, not just when it is needed. I'll do it again and again!!!!
From blocks away you can smell those charcoal brickets preparing that perfectly seasoned chicken to its BEST. I can't even begin with other items on th menu such as the horchata (rice water) to go with it or those MEGA tortas that also include the perfect grilled steak, with the perfect texture and all the right touches to it. You'll love and it's the perfect meal for a family and healthy at the same time rather than the secret recipe (??..hmm..) from the "kernel" TRY IT YOU"LL LOVE IT ;0)
This place is really cool compared to most Jamaican restaurants...the food is hot, the service is great and the price is cheap. What I like most about Irie Island besides the food is the ambiance. Its well built and clean. They serve you buffet style unless you decide to dine In which I do all the time. I got a couple of my friends to come with me their to watch the game and they loved it too more so because we were able to bring our bottles in. "YEA FOR BYOB ON THE SOUTH SIDE".
This has got to be the best jerk place in chicago. I've had jerk from all sides of town even a couple of suburbs & this place top them all. Moma (as everyone calls her) the owner and chef is very friendly and welcoming. The food is so moist and seasoned to perfection. The cabbage and beans & rice are grest as well. So if your ever on the southside of town/have passed by and just wasn't sure about trying a new place. Stop in say hi to Moma and I guarantee you've keep coming back.
Lou Mitchell's is one of those landmark Chicago eateries. You have to try it at least once when you come to Chicago due to its great location and history. The food is spectacular and the food generally comes out pretty quick. The service can be good or bad, but I've had generally good experiences. It can be a little tight with space, but that is part of the fun. While you're there, make sure to get their milkduds and doughnut holes as even if you wait they want to take care of you.
My first time at 6978 I had heard a lot of good things about the soul food and was very anxious to try it. The atmosphere was very laid back with nice music in the background. The atmosphere was open and spacious but the table chairs were a little weak. The food took a little while to come but when it finally came I was very impressed. I love like soul food and I have eaten a lot of home cooked soul food and this was dead on.
Awesome food. My kids had the incredible cinnamon buns and I had the Mediterranian Omelet, they were both awesome. The cinamon buns were so good on the way back home we got 4 of them for the go. By the way, 1 omellet is good for two adults and the buns are good for two people. A must go to for breakfast.
