Established in 1865, the Lima Fire Department is a full-service public safety agency that works to fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical response and rescue services, as well as public and life safety education to residents. It conducts inspections of hospitals, correctional institutions, hotels and motels, foster homes, and child and adult care and preschool facilities. The department houses a fleet of equipment, including pumpers, rescue vans, ladders, engines and command vehicles. The Lima Fire Department also provides various fire prevention and safety tips to citizens. It also has a firefighters museum and an arson bureau. The department offers various online request forms for tours of the fire department. The Lima Fire Department is located in Lima, Ohio.
