Although I had never visited this shop, I must say that I was extremely pleased with the quality of service, professionalism, relaxing atmosphere, and the price which I found to be very reasonable for the style I wanted. Often when visiting salons in the past, I have found service and my overall satisfaction, to be less than it should have been - especially for the $$ I was charged. The young lady, Dianna, told me that she is the new owner. Dianna took the time to find out exactly how I wanted my senegalese twists style to look... what color and desired length of added hair I needed, what size braid, etc. Dianna offered me some really great hair for my style. It was the PERFECT color!!! Also, everything was included in the price I was quoted. My braids lasted me 2 months.... that is the longest amount of time I have ever been able to go until my next appointment. I have already been back to this professional african hair braiding lady my second time. For now, I will stick with my twist which looks fabulous. But curiousity will ultimately rule and I am confident that any style I want, Ms. Dianna can do the job for me and my hair will look just as fabulous as my twist. I will continue to recommend AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING BY DIANNA on Devine Street to all my friends and family. I can say with confidence, they won't be disappointed in the work she does!! MS. DIANNA - I AM SO THANKFUL I FOUND YOU. YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!!! YOU RULE!!!!!!!

I have had my hair braided at Braids by Franche twice. I am always extremely satisfied with their work. The first time I had my hair braided I got the $180 pixie size. They lasted me for about two months before I took them out. Most people still thought I took them out too soon. I have very dry scalp and I was able to wash my braids in the shower and not have to worry about them all coming out. When I took them out I had minimal brakage--no more then my hair would naturally shed had I been wearing my wraps. The second time I got braids, I got the $200 dollar size (tiny). I have had these in for two months. I have about an inch of new growth. I was actually looking the number up to get my edges rebraided and decided to leave a comment. The quality braiding the do at Braids by Franche always pleases me. The prices incude the hair and they are fairly consistant with the braiding times. I have two friends that go there for kinky twist and other braids now. The only complaint I would have is that the entire staff takes lunch together at the same time (It may be a cultural thing) but I can overlook that for these quality braids. They have definently got a customer for life!
It's simple yall...If you want PROFESSIONAL QUALITY SERVICE at an unbeatable price then this is the place for you! I got my hair braided this past Friday (August 8, 2008), and I got micro braids. Usually when you think of micro braids you assume that it is an all day thing, but not with them. I mean not only are these beautiful ladies professional but fast! Within 8.5 hours I had a full head of micro braids. I can't even begin to tell you just how many compliments I have received on them. The staff members of Touba made the enviroment very relaxing and hospitable for its clients. After this experience I know without question that I will not go anywhere else but to TOUBA to have my hair done! If I had to rate this shop on a scale of 1 to 10, I would have to give them an 11, LITERALLY. They top the charts, the best that I have come across yet. To my stylist, MARIA (as well as her friend whose name I didn't get) I love you ladies. Keep doing what you do, making us black sisters look HOT!
This was my first time getting braids, and the experience was rewarding in the end. Because of the length of my hair, I was "in the chair" for a total of 10.5-11hrs. I received micro-braids (I did want slightly larger braids) because of my thinning edges; but the young lady asked me whether or not I wanted them braided before she started on them. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the workers were friendly...frequently apologizing for the amount of time it took to finish. I did have to laugh after the first 5 hrs. when my stylist began to constantly tell me I had a lot of hair!! If I ever get my hair braided again, I will return to this salon, but definitely get braids that are a bit larger than the ones I now have!
I HAVE ATTENDED THIS SHOP FOR 3 PLUS YEARS... THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB ON BRAIDING. HOWEVER, THE DOWN SIDE OF THIS SHOP IS LACK OF CONSIDERATION OF THE CUSTOMER TIME , WHEN THEY ARE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, THE OVER CHARGE, OF CERTAIN HAIR STYLES, AND THE CONSTANT PHONE CONVERSATION THEY HAVE WHILE DOING THEIR CLIENT HAIR. PROFESIONIAL ON BRAIDING. UNPROFESIONIAL ON RESPECTING THE CLIENTS THATS PAYING THEM. MY FINAL CHANCE WITH THEM, WAS JUNE WHEN I HAVE THEM DO MY DAUGHTER HAIR. SHE ARRIVE 12 AFTERNOON AND FINISH 1 THAT MORNING. TO TOP IT OF THEY DIDN'T FINISH HER HAIR, INSTEAD THEY BRAID THE MIDDLE PART OF HER HAIR 3 TIME AS BIG AS THE OTHER BRAIDS TO RUSH . DAMN, SHAME...
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever get micros in my hair. I am a hair stylist/ owner and rarely find the time to do anything with my own hair. I made the crazy decision to go natural and boy is my hair taking me through changes. This I felt was my only option. Guys, I tell you, I was so nervous at first because this is a huge stretch for me. But..... I think it was the best decision so far for my hair. I look and feel so beautiful! Those ladies worked a miracle! Thank you!!!!!!
The service I received from Touba African Hair Braiding was very professional. The salon is a nice environment. The hours of operation are very flexible. Hair braiders in the salon were polite and efficient. Braids keep well; price point was competitive. On the downside, the service began about 20 minutes after my appointment time. This factor was offset by the fact that Touba finished work about 1.5 hours faster than similar work I had done with other salons.
I was told the price for my braids is $160 with the hair included. When I arrived, she said she had to go out and buy the hair for my braids because ran out. She than said it would cost me $160 plus the cost of the hair she just purchased. I should've left but my hair was looking a hot mess, so I stayed and paid the additional cost. My braids turned out beautiful. They work fast and our nice to chat with, but I won't be returning due to her business ethics.
You have got to go get your hair done by these beautiful ladies. Not only are they extremely talented but they care about the work that they do. I got senegalese twists today and their work exceeded my expectations!!!! The care that the ladies took really made me feel important and special. I went in looking crazy and left looking absolutely beautiful! Job well done and I will be getting this special treatment again! And... again!
