I'm all about good quality and professional service. Sometimes it takes a little bit of patience for a job well done and I"m willing to wait an extra week if I have to knowing that my clothes will be done right. Owning your own business, especially being a solo worker can be overwhelming. I say give the owner the benefit of the doubt. I've been pleased with everything I've had done there.

The WORST experience I have ever had!!! I took 2 suits (w/1 pr of pants each) and 4 pair of slacks to have tailored for my thin soon-to-be missionary son. I took them to her 1 month before his farewell and she kept telling me that they would be done. She even had us come in the night before his farewell so she could fit them again. She told me that night that one of the suits would be completed for his farewell and that she would deliver it to my front door. Surprise! No suit! She texted me the next morning (5 am and his farewell was at 9am) and told me that she was just too tired to deliver, that I would have to pick up from her home and that the suit would be hanging on her front door. Drove to her house, SURPRISE, no it wasn't. We finally did get the suit 20 minutes before the farewell and SURPRISE, there was a 6 in. hole in the inseam at the knee.
It took a visit from the police to get the other items back and then I was scrambling to find someone to alter before he left for the MTC 3 days later. The night before my son reported to the MTC he came to me and showed me that one of the pairs of pants were not the ones that went with the suit! Not to mention there was another pair missing!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS WOMAN!!!!! She also requires payment up front so now I am out $399.08!

I with there was an option to leave no stars. Custom Tailoring has terrible customer service. The owner is rude and unprofessional. She does not finish items on time and then avoids her customers when they try to pick their clothes up at the appointed time. When asked for a refund for a skirt that she didn't finish in time for a very important performance for my wife, she was very rude, accused my wife of harassment, and threatened to call her lawyer. American Fork should be ashamed to house such an awful business.

HORRIBLE customer service-- calls and texts are ignored and she doesn't care if your item is done on time, even when it is for an important event. Cookie is rude and unprofessional. I can't speak to her tailoring skills as I have never received the skirt she was taking in for me. I should have known that she was not dependable when she had us pay before our items were done. I wish I could give ZERO stars.

I needed some suits, pants, and shirts taken in. Its been a year and I still don't have them. Yes, I have one suit that isn't right, and several shirts, but as for the rest, its not done. I have gone in several times only to learn things weren't done, due to health, or travel. I tried to set up an appointment several times that I could come in, try things on, and see where things where but she just wanted me to take them home, try them on, and go from there. I was concerned if I took them home, and then took them back it would take even longer.

I also stopped by, emailed, etc., on a regular occasion and I keep getting excuses.

Oh, and the most frustrating thing is I took them in for the owner to do, and then I learned she sub contracts them out, so I have no idea who is doing the work.

I paid for everything up front. So not only has she had my clothes, but my money all this time.

I wish my experience was better, this isn't the review I wanted to write.

The owner is incredibly rude and disorganized. Inappropriately abrasive. She told me that she would repair a jacket for me in two weeks. Another five weeks later after stopping by multiple times, the owner Cookie promised me that the jacket would be fixed. Only until i asked for a refund did she complete the project. Read the reviews below, read mine- if I could give her zero stars I would. Honestly, I can't remember a worse customer experience. She makes me feel uncomfortable. Her shop is wildly unorganized. I never write reviews, but felt compelled to warn others. Seven weeks later i have the garment. I told my friend about her and she told me a similar story about her prom dress a year back. Check out two tiny tailors at the univerisity mall. Much better.

I read a lot of "terrible" reviews. I had a pleasant experience. While I think I paid slightly more than I should I am very pleased with the work. She treated my kids fantastic when we went in there. Will be taking my business back

As an X employee of this shop I can confirm everything that has been said here. She lead me to believe I could make great money working hers and was not only working 4 hours a day in the shop but another 5 at home. When I calculated what I was making it was $4 an hour. I tried to leave under friendly conditions but she made it impossible without me spending another week of time in the shop with basicly no pay. The lady before me had to go to court to get paid her last paycheck and now it looks like I will have to do the same thing. If you think she is rude to clients you should see how she is with her help.

I'm upset that I even have to give this horribe place ONE star, they need negative stars for this business!! WORST! WORST! WORST tailors that have NO idea how to alter clothing!! I took in a pair of sweat pants that go with a jacket (sweat suit) they were too long and I only wanted like an inch taken off, I wear, or at least I use to wear them with matching chunky tennis shoes. It took almost two weeks to get them back and when I took them home one leg was at least an inch shorter than the other and both were TOO SHORT NOW!! When I took them back the lady was frantically looking for the leftover material from my pants to try and sew it back on!! She also kept asking if the store where I bought them still sells them incase I needed a new pair!! When I finally got them back they had to use the material they took off to add length back on, so now one leg is thicker with added material and I can no longer wear them with my shoes because they are so short I have to wear them with flats!!!!!!! and I paid $30.00 for them to distroy my clothes!! My mom took a jacket to have taken in there, paid $50.00, it took her three weeks to get it back and it looks exactly the same as it did before! They also were so kind to leave multiple pins in it so my mom got pricket all over her arms and sides when she put it on! My dad took some work pants to have zippers attached.... $53.00!! They called one week later to say they were done, he went to pick them up and they were not done, he went back a week later when they called, took them on a motercycle trip and the zippers were only half finished! Took several pairs of dress items to have a minor alteration. Tailors insisted I needed to have a fitting done to make sure the correct altering was taking place. I explained how the tailoring shops in the past had done it for me and showed them it was a simple alteration, I did this in interest of saving time and money for both of us. They not only insisted I get the fitting but after altering the items and having a second fitting to see if they were done right I found they were done completely WRONG ! Then had to have them fix what they had done wrong. After fixing the problem and finally doing what I had asked them to do from the get go they charged me more money for each alteration then I had actually paid for the garments. They then charged me for each and every fitting, and the extra alterations that they did to fix THEIR mistake. Long story short, not customer minded at all, would not listen to customer then took advantage of the circumstances they caused. ** DO NOT RECOMMEND *

The owner is rude, unorganized, uprofessional and the customer service is appalling. It is pretty amazing they are still in business. Best of luck to you if you decide to take your business to that joke of an establishment. I however, will never be back
