Family-Style Tasting
Join us in downtown Yountville at our historic tasting salon for a family-style seated tasting. Explore an array of wines made from grapes that owner Doug Hill has been farming since the 1970s. The tasting will finish with a dark chocolate bark from local chocolatier, Kollar Chocolates. Experience Napa's finest hospitality in a comfortable setting, where you'll allow us to change your name to Hill for the day. Duration: 1.5 Hours, Location: Hill Family Estate, Group Size: 1 - 6 Guests, Deposit Policy: Fee (s) Charged Upon Arrival. Booking Lead Time: You must book your reservation 2 Hours before the event starts. Cancellation Policy: 12 Hours. We understand your travel plans may change. In the event that you need to change, reschedule or cancel your reservation, we kindly ask that you notify us no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Guests that do not call or no show will be charged the tasting fees on the credit card provided at the time of booking. Hill Family Estate was born out of the desire for a family to work together. Third-generation farmer Doug Hill grew prunes and apples along the Russian River before moving to the Napa Valley in the 1970s to manage vineyards. During the 1980s and 1990s Doug began acquiring vineyards of his own as well as leasing land and has now grown grapes for more than forty prominent wineries including Silver Oak, Far Niente, Quintessa and Cakebread to name a few. After nearly four decades of farming, Doug and his family decided to enter the winemaking business, and in 2001 Hill Family Estate was born. Doug farms the grapes and helps craft the wine while his son Ryan runs the sales division, working hard to get Hill Family Estate wines placed in select accounts throughout the country. Our salon-styled tasting room is located in downtown Yountville, in the heart of Napa Valley.
