Cafe Z

This was without a doubt the worst restaurant i have been to in years. The decor looks like something from the 70's and on the night I went there was a singer, who also played disco music and sang along. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. The food was terrible. I ordered an appetizer of mozzarella and ricotta fritta, which was soggy, tasteless and inedible. Then I had the Fettucine Alfredo, which I was looking forward to as they advertise fresh pasta. The pasta was out of a box, and it was covered in a gloppy, tasteless white sauce. It was so bad I couldn't eat it. My friend who is dining with me, had soup (I use that term loosely). It was a bowl of broth with raw tomatoes cut up in it, and brocolli rabe and beans. It looked awful and by all accounts was. He followed that up with two salad appetizers, one more unappetizing looking than the next. He picked at both. The only good thing I can say about the evening is that they took my entree of the bill without asking.

Our family has been having our Thanksgiving and Easter holiday meals at this lovely restaurant for more than five years now. The food is exceptional, the service welcoming and warm. Patty Inghilleri really does make you feel like part of her family. The prices are very fair-- a family can have a really wonderful dining experience without breaking the bank.
