I frequently travel through here, and on this go around I decided I had to give this place a review. SO GOOD. The food is great AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Here's an insider for you, if you want to test if a Mexican place is authentic order some tacos, and if they automatically come with CORN TORTILLAS then you know the place is legit. That is exactly this place. It never fails to satisfy me. With that being said, it is authentic so DO NOT order an Americanized dish like Nachos, and expect it to be the best. These people know how to give you authentic dishes and soups. I most definitely recommend everything from Tacos to tortas to fajitas to God sent soups. If you want more of a kick ask for the red and green sauces. Their ingredients are fresh. Next door there is a small Latin super market so if you feel like getting some of your own ingredients and having Spanish night at home it is the go to.
Sunday Brunch Mojo Pulled Pork! Two poached eggs over tastey pulled pork over Texas toast covered with creamy sauce. Great Tasting. Comes with hashed potatoes and creamy cheese grits. Wife had Brunch Burrito which was huge filled with 6 items. Chips are fresh & thin but dip is not regular tomato salsa but is tasty. Frozen Margaritas are reasonable and good. Service is friendly and helpful. Eat outdoors if weather permits!
My family and i have eaten at Superior Grill for years and have never had a problem at this resturant. The prices, the serve, and the atmosphere is second to none in Baton Rouge. I live week to week on a budget with a family of four and Superior Grill's are very helpful in this regards. Thank you Superior Grill and we look forward to coming back.
We eat here alot because my husband loves the bean dip that you get with the chips and salsa. Service is always really good considering they are always extremely busy.Drinks are always good, I don't recommend the skinny margarita though because it taste just like limejuice and tequila.
My wife and I eat here all the time. I love their bean dip you get with the complimentary chips and salsa. Everything we have ordered we have enjoyed especially the grilled tilapia. The food has always made it to the table hot. Margerita happy hour is nice too.
My family and I love this place. The owner and the waitress are the best in town. Our food was served fast and warm. The service is second to none in this town. The portions of food was enough to feed two on any plate. This is a great place to eat and get away.
The food here is awesome! If you are near Siegen Lane and are looking for a great Mexican Restaurant with authentic tasting food you most try this place. Near the front of the store is a grocery, you have to go to the back to get to the cooked food.
Food was excellent! Service was awesome! Lunch menu is very nice priced and fajitas were tasty. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff that was very helpful. We will defiantly be back. There's a new Sherif in town! Zapatas Mexican rest!!
Really enjoyed my meal here. I got some tacos to go for my brother and his fiance. They're from New Orleans so they know good food. They were impressed and I have been back a couple more times. Big fan!
The service, the food, the prices are some of the best in town. I just moved back to Baton Rouge and I got say that On The Border Mexican Grill and Cantina is by far my favorite place to eat in Baton Rouge.
