Wanted to take my family out to eat on Friday night. Took them to Cafe Milano the owner saw that I had kids and wouldn't sit us in the restaurant. Told us everything was reserved. Then told us his tables were for 4 people and we have 5. Lost my business. Never go there again. Bad businessman.

I booked a rehearsal dinner for my sons wedding, I had spoken to them several times prior to the event. The dinner was to accommodated 23 people, We were packed like sardines into the back right of the restaurant. A screen served to separate the next big party on the left. When I arrived the room was not ready. I asked the servers when it would be ready they kept saying 5 minutes, until after 1/2 hr I was able to get the manager. The manager cleaned up what was left on the tables. I ordered beer and wine. Only red wine was on the table. We had only one server for the party. He did the best he could under the circumstances. Over all I would not recommend having an event at this establishment. Food was so so. I ordered the salmon it did not look or taste like any salmon I have had. Total disappointment. Never going back there. Maybe they should stick to deserts!
Wife loved her coconut chicken. My $35.00 rib eye was unetable. Thought it was not rib eye, thought was donkey meat. Very tough and full of tendens. Was to come smothered with mushrooms and onions. There were none, just a trusted piece of cooked whatever. At least the coffee was good. Gave 2 stars because son and wife liked. Bottle of wine went up $6.00 from 3 weeks weeks ago.
Italianissimo Restaurant is under new management, Chef Franco is sole proprietor and his great cooking skills will give you that experience you'll always want in a good restaurant. All those stories about rude owners and other complaints are not describing this hidden gem, one of the best places to eat in Staten Island. Great wine selection, early bird menus and awesome appetizers.
Gotta hand it to them they have been doing this for almost 70 years and still one of the best on Staten Island
You have to try this place. Delicious Italian food, reasonable prices. You won't be sorry.
Altough the food was quite good, the service was horrendous. We experienced a similar situation at this restaurant last year, but chalked it up to a new waitess and a holiday weekend. As frequent restaurant diners, we should know better than to go out on Mothers' Day weekend! Only went back to support them post Sandy. NEVER again.
Food was fresh and the menu appeared to have authentic Italian dishes. Food is actually cooked by a different Nonna daily. Awesome food!!
The service was great! Greeted immediately after entering
