The Somerset Community Action Program, also known as SCAP, offers a range of educational development and child care services. The program sponsors the Somerset County Head Start Program, which was established in 1964 and provides a variety of Health and Human Services to children between the ages of 3 and 5. Its programs are funded by the Department of Health and Human Services. The Somerset Community Action Program offers nutritional counseling and administrative services, as well as encourages the involvement of parents in child s development. The program also conducts training sessions for the development of job and parenting skills. The Somerset Community Action Program maintains a location in Somerset, N.J.
