General Info: Dr. Rebecca Jahed has lived many places during her childhood as part of a military family, but eventually settled in the Maryland/DC area in 1983. She attended Penn State University and completed her undergraduate degree in 1987. She worked in the Montgomery County School system with hearing impaired and special needs children before continuing her education. Rebecca then attended the University of Maryland where she received her Master of Arts degree in Hearing and Speech Science in 1992. Most recently, she continued her education and received an AuD (Doctorate of Audiology) from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2009. She is a fellow with the American Academy of Audiology and with the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Dr. Jahed has worked in several different areas of audiology including private practice, as an educator for a large hearing instrument manufacturer, and as a clinical audiologist working with several Ear, Nose, and Throat medical practices in the Southern Maryland area. This diversity has enhanced her knowledge and skills in many different areas of the audiology profession.
