I took my car in on April 4th for an evaluation. I was told I could pick it up later that day. Around 4:00pm, I called and spoke to Lynn and asked her if I could come get my car. She said no. She told me I would have to wait til tomorrow because there was a lot of paperwork to be done. She finally calls me around 10am the next day and said it was ready. I go in and she hands me the keys. No comment on my car. I had to ask her what the results were. She told me my car was not repairable and that she would send the paper to the insurance co. and I should here from them within 7 days. They kept my car overnight and nothing was done to it? She couldn't complete the paperwork without my car? How is keeping my car helping her? Anyway, I waited 7 days to hear from the insurance co. Never heard from them so I left them a message and a couple of days later, I heard back. They told me that Michael & Co. hasn't sent them anything. They told me they will find out what's going on. That was fri. May 4. I heard back from them today. I was told that Michael & Co. is refusing to send them the paperwork. What kind of customer service is this? They're refusing to assist a customer? Ridiculous!!! I will never go back or recommend this company to anyone.

Elva, We are sorry to hear you feel that way. We strive to provide every customer with quality repairs. Before we can start repairing a vehicle, we must thoroughly inspect your vehicle. Our shop does not determine whether your vehicle is repairable or not, the insurance company does. There are several factors that go into making this decision. The insurance company will ask many questions about your vehicle, we must tell them in great detail everything about your vehicle and we must submit paperwork. Due to the amount of information insurance companies request, this process can take a little longer than we would like it to. We understand that you are upset because your vehicle may be deemed a total and the time it took the insurance company to come to this decision, but please know that this is ultimately up to your insurance company. We work diligently to make this process as smooth and quick as possible for our customers. You brought in your vehicle to us for an evaluation on 04/4/2018 and although we were ready to upload our free assessment of the vehicle, the insurance company had not determined liability and did not send us the assignment to do so. We can not upload any information until we receive that assignment. The insurance company sent you many letters updating you on the process and we did not receive the assignment until May 1st, 2018. At this point, however instead of contacting us directly, you choose to degrade our company and employees online, before we could actually provide the service you requested. Calling our Estimator Lynn (a secretary) (On Yelp), simply because she is a woman, making accusations of racism (On Yelp), etc. We simply choose not to provide the documentation to the insurance company at that point due to the many false accusations made online about us on Yelp, YP, an Facebook. At no time did we disrespect you but your online reviews were unwarranted, and we reserve the right to refuse service to any person not treating us properly. We did not damage your vehicle, we did not repair your vehicle and we are not being compensated for the evaluation we did for you, it is simply a complementary service and we have no obligations.

After they finished the work I went in to have done I remembered that my alignment needed to be looked at. They fit that in with a tire rotation on the spot. They also replaced my very worn windshield wipers at the same time - and just before the rain hit. Sweet! The crew that works there are all very friendly and knowledgeable.

When someone can show me a part to help me understand it's function I'm all for it - and that's what I got from the onset. Plus, once they realized I was a chatter-bug the crew brought me in to the fold with office small-talk which was a fun way to wait out my repairs. This shop and Service Advisor Scott come recommended.

It speaks volumes when Michael's mechanics have been with him so long. They take the time to communicate with you and show you what's going on during particular diagnostics. It built my confidence in their abilities and they've educated me. This may sound trivial but, over the last 17 years I have driven in with a nail in a tire or light bulb out & they fix it on the spot with a nice greeting and send me on my way. I've had 3 new cars and taken all of them because the service writers are detailed, informative and courteous.

I was always reluctant to take my cars for repair or service because Dealers always tried to ""upsell"" services. I know that's their job. However, Michael's will do the requested or needed repairs; the mechanics go over the whole car and the writers let me know if there are future repairs. It is more a plan of action."
