<b>A REAL review by a REAL customer<\b> At first, Doug's work was great, and he showed up on time. As I gave him a bit more work, though, Doug's work ethic took a nose dive. He'd show up hours late or not at all, he'd "go out for parts" and not be back for four hours or not be back at all. The strange part of this is that I supplied everything he needed in order to do the small tile job and other small jobs I had contracted him for. He blew a MUCH larger job (entire house tiled!) with a friend because if his lack of reliability.



I'm not impressed with the fact that he left me with a doggie door falling off the wall, tile with no caulking on the edge as he promised, and brown grout on the side of a white stone house that is supposed to hold a doggie door on the wall and is crumbling. The doggie door is falling off the wall and didn't even have screws holding it in! Even though was pretty specific about what size ramp was needed, he built a (very pretty) ramp that was too small for my chihuahuas!! Really???



Whenever I questioned him about why he was hours late, he told me of some personal issues and drama that he was having. I am not unsympathetic. I do, however, expect someone to be there when they say they will, and not pull the games that Doug pulled. I would expect these games from a 20 year old. He actually contacted me about some more work and I had decided to give him one more chance. I told him the days I was available and never heard from him again. I've seen some of the so-called reviews on Google, and I suspect they are fake. Anyone who had really put up with the games that I put up with would not have sung the praises of this unprofessional and flaky contractor. As a side note, I never saw the other old guy. According to Doug, he was very slow. I doubt that someone could be slower or more of a flake. It's a shame. He seemed so nice, but I'm no longer fooled. For tile, use Strong Arm.
