Neil Armstrong Elementary School, located in Rochester, N.Y., is a part of the Gates Chili Central School District. It offers classes from grades kindergarten to five. It provides an educational environment where students can discover and use their full potential, while studying at their own rate. The curriculum includes all the basic subjects, including verbal and written expression, math, and science. Students also learn to use instruments, sing songs, study musical patterns, and move to music, and learn to make a variety of art projects and express themselves, using a variety of media. A school psychologist is available whose work involves in preventing and addressing social, behavioral, academic and other learning problems. Neil Armstrong Elementary School also has a school improvement team, comprising teacher, parents, and students, who develop new goals each year.
