Our four children have each attended Jackson Elementary over the last eleven years and I have oynl good things to say about the staff and school. The teachers, principal (Mrs. Northcut), and other staff are amazing. They are smart, hard working, caring, creative, and COMMITTED to the students and families of their school. The "test score" issues brought on by No Child Left Behind are such an unfortunate and unfair way of assessing schools. Jackson has a largely diverse population, most of whom are English as a second language. This diversity has been a benefit to my children, not a drawback. It makes things challenging in the "scores" department but provides a unique and cross cultural school experience we love for our kids' "life" education. Even though we've recently relocated, we've kept our elementary-age son at Jackson. He is involved in the Dual Language Program - which is amazing. Thank you to Jackson for making our experiences there over the years SO great!
