I have gotten blow outs many times and the one I most recently got at lark was terrible. I had to shower and completely redo my hair. I am sure they can do other hair styles, but it shouldn't be called a blow dry studio. I also called after and shared my opinion. I was told the manager would call me back because they wanted to make things right. I never received a phone call.

I went in to get some cornrows. it was a slow day, I guess. I was the only person there. Stylist was friendly professional and offered good advise on hair maintenance. She even offered me a coke, I was never offered a pop in a salon before. great experience will be going back.

I visited Lark for the first time in March, the Friday before my daughter's first communion, I loved my hair on Friday evening when I left. I didn't brush it, I slept with a silk scarf, I bathed vs showered, and used the dry shampoo and Respun. Saturday it had that slept in messy look and by Sunday morning I had to completely redo my hair. $40 for the blow out, $10 tip, and $30 on product for 36 hours worth of a hair style frustrated me.The owner called to check on my style and I told her about my experience. She kindly offered to add a scalp massage to my next visit. In my stylist's defense, the client before me had a lot of hair, so she ran late with her and both the stylist and myself, had children to get from school. Today was my second visit to Lark. I called ahead and spoke with the owner, Shannon. I informed her that I would like to come in today, however, I did not have a sitter. I would have my 1.and 2.5 year old with me. I specifically asked if that would work and stated I would bring an ipad for my 2.5 year old and my 1 year old would most likely sit on my lap. Shannon agreed stating that she would be here and doesn't do hair, so she could help out. The moment I met with my stylist Britney, I could tell she was less than thrilled that I had my children with me. She did give me an incredible scalp massage which I had forgotten was on my account from my previous visit. Our conversation was minimal no matter how much I tried to converse with her. We spoke about my previous experience and that I was heading to Kansas City for the weekend, we agreed on lots of curls and lots of volume. I did have to get up a couple times to take care of my kids. Shannon the owner was gracious enough to hold my 1 year old and walk him around for the last half of my appointment. Due to the amount of hair I have and me getting up, the stylist did spent 65 minutes on my hair. HOWEVER, I had no curl and no volume. I paid, left a $10 tip as they did accommodate my children being there. I went directly to pick up a cake to which the lady stated, "I thought you were going to get your hair done." I left and called Shannon, the owner and explained that I did not like my hair, but thanked her for accommodating my children. Shannon stated, "Brittney was flustered." I was caught of guard and hung up. 10 minutes later, I called back and spoke with Shannon again. I explained that I was caught off guard because I called hours before my appointment to ask if I it would "be crazy to bring the kids" and Shannon stated it was fine. After conversation, Shannon refunded my appointment and stated, "I hope you find someone who can do your hair that you are happy with." Which I take as her dismissing me from her business, which is her right and I respect that. Shannon asked if that made me happy, to which I replied that I believe that I did not pay for services that I rendered and was not happy with, but I still was in need of a hair style and due to me leaving for a trip in a few hours, unfortunately I would not have the time to get it redone, so no I was not happy. Between my two visits, I am not satisfied with Lark.
Very good service. Love the way Daisy does my hair and how friendly everyone is at the salon. I recomend this place to anyone. It feels like home whenever I'm there. P.S: Dominicans are excelent when it comes to dealing with curly hair
I hated this place I was a brides maid in my sisters wedding i paid $65 for professional makeup they didn't know or care how i liked my eyes, one of the girls in my group didn't even get bottom eye liner or mascara! they didn't even cover my big pores or acne marks with the air brash you are better off doing it your self cause this make up doesn't even last they give you lip gloss...not lipstick the hair was ok but the hair spray they use made your hair look wiry and kind of like grandmas stiff hair, my style could've been a little more stable for an up do but the hair is ok, but the owner did my make up and she was more concerned about bragging about her 18 plus years well honey she needs to go back to school, did NOT enjoy this place...
I got my hair cut by Lisa Cupich and it was the best hair cut I have ever had.
