We are nestled in the foothills of the Ozarks on the banks of the White River and are considered a Delta county but enjoy the best of both worlds. Newport is an old Railroad town with the Missouri Pacific Depot is among many structures in Newport listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our Northeast Arkansas location allows our residents quick access to larger cities like Memphis, home of many visitor attractions including The Pyramid, Beale Street and Graceland, or our capitol city Little Rock, home of the Clinton Museum, Robinson Auditorium and the River Market District both are a quick 90 minute drive via US HWY 67 South or AR-I 555 from Jonesboro. Maybe it's a Branson show or a St. Louis Cardinals game you want to experience. Either location is a four hour drive or hop a commuter flight from Jonesboro for a quick vacation.
