My fiance and I had our engagement ring custom made here after considering three other jewelry stores. The fantastic customer service throughout the entire process from design to delivery makes Gem Dynasty stand out in this city and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for jewelry, whether for every day or special occasions. Their personable and trustworthy service was very much appreciated and made the process enjoyable and stress-free. As architects, we were very detail-conscious, and their attention to quality made us very happy with the product that we received. They also offer yearly maintenance on engagement rings after purchase, which makes us feel confident in their belief in their product. We will definitely be going back for our wedding bands.

After checking out several diamond stores and larger chain jewelers we decided to stop by Gem Dynasty based on the great YP reviews. We were definitely NOT disappointed. We knew exactly what we were looking for so that made us a little bit easier to please.



Frank the owner assisted us and we were extremely pleased with him and the company. Frank went out of his way to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and that we were pleased with the outcome. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our annoying questions with a smile and a great attitude. He personally hand picked the diamonds for our rings and did a fantastic job matching all of them, they are perfect.



They stand behind their products and even followed up to make sure we were happy and offered to clean and inspect our rings whenever we wanted at no additional charge.

My fiance and I were looking for a reputable, no-pressure jeweler in the Diamond District area for our wedding band search. We actually came across all the great reviews on Gem Dynasty online, and figured we'd give it a shot.



Gem Dynasty is actually located in an office building of sorts, and is not on the street. It was a bit difficult to find at first but we loved that it was set away from the other diamond district stores as it kept the riff raff out!



Frank attended to us the two or three times we went. He was very patient, non-salesy, friendly and funny. Unlike at many other stores, I didn't feel bad or guilty about taking up his time. It was like having a conversation with a long-lost friend, who just so happened to know a lot about diamonds! My fiance and I found two gorgeous wedding bands. Gem Dynasty then custom made those bands for us in our sizes.



As previous posters said, there is no bargaining to be had here, as the prices they give are the lowest they will go. However, we thought pricing was fair - it was even slightly cheaper than buying at Blue Nile.



Top-notch service and excellent quality. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely go back again for future jewelry needs!

I highly recommend Gem Dynasty. I wanted to buy my fiancée's engagement ring in the Diamond District, but I had no idea where to even start looking for a good place, so I searched several review sites to find the one that had the best ratings and went there. I was not disappointed. The staff there was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they helped me understand what I was looking at when I looked at diamonds. Beyond just the "4 C's," they helped me understand other features that affected a diamond's value, and they helped me figure out which features were the most important to me and were very patient through my decision process.



What I found most impressive was that they never tried the up-sell. I told Frank my budget, and he never showed me a stone that was a penny more than that. Also, I never worried that I was getting a bad deal because I was unknowledgeable. Like online vendors like bluenile, Gem Dynasty has all the diamonds that it can access in a searchable database on its website.



In the end, Frank found the perfect stone for me that fit all of my parameters, and he set it so well that it looks bigger than its carat weight would suggest. My fiancée loves the ring and said she couldn't have picked out a better one herself.

I went everywhere looking for rings. Gem Dynasty staff was by far the friendliest, most helpful, and genuinely interested people I met. Let's just say that it took a while for my fiance and I to come up with just the right ring. Frank helped us design it, came into the office I cannot say enough about how great Frank was. We must have been to Gem Dynasty about 15-20 times. The ring was amazing. My fiance (now wife) loves it and everyone compliments her on its uniqueness.



My wife tends to notice minor imperfections, and Frank went out of his way to get the band polished and repolished, and even sent it back to the jeweler to touch up the milligrain edging. For all the extra effort he and the jewelers put in, we weren't charged anything extra.



I cannot recommend this place highly enough - and try to get Frank and visit Gem Dynasty if you can!

Went to LA Jewelry district looking for engagement ring with two wedding bands. We had already shopped around a bit in orange county and wanted to finish off looking in LA before we made up our mind. I researched online which stores had good ratings to narrow down the field. We started at Gem Dynasty simply because they have Saturday Appointments.



Frank waited on us and helped us narrow down to a few settings as we already had a good idea of what we were looking for. Then we looked at several diamonds with varying degrees of clarity and color before making a decision. Frank came up with an excellant choice that fit the ring perfectly (1.48 cw).

At this point we decided to go look around a bit, since Gem Dynasty was the first place we visited.

Within 3 hours we were back to buy the engagement ring that Frank had set aside for us. At the other stores we did not get the sense of family, and service, but mostly the quality of the rings were superior to the others.

They sized the ring, set the stone, the wedding bands will be custom made to our specifications as they did not have what we wanted in stock.

Everything met our expectations, the price was more than fair. Frank was very supportive to our needs and made the deal happen.

One more note, in all the places we visited Gem Dynasty was the busiest all day long with people calling and setting appointments with them, that tells me that they are the place to shop.

I did a lot of research online and chose this place because of their outstanding reviews. The reviews don't lie, this place rocks. I was looking for a diamond engagement ring and found the perfect one at Jewelry District in downtown LA. Not only did they have exactly what I wanted (an antique setting) but they gave me a great price. On top of that they set and sized it for me right on the spot - they even stayed after hours to finish the job. As if that weren't enough, they polished my old class ring free of charge. Now that's customer service!



It's a family owned business and Frank was awesome. I highly recommend this place coz. the customer service and prices was incomparable to others Gem Dynasty you Rock!

I was extremely nervous buying the engagement ring...I was nervous about the potential reactions I would get being that I am gay buying the ring for my girlfriend (yes, now my fiancee). But no worries because Gem Dynasty was amazing! Frank was incredible. I told him what I was looking to spend and then gave him the almost impossible task of matching my budget with the exact ring I (really my girlfriend) had in mind. But somehow Frank did it. The ring is beautiful! I never felt pressured to spend more money. In fact, I was worried that I would not be able to get the ring I had in mind for my price but Frank reassured me we could do it. Also, the engagement ring needed to be resized twice and Frank didn't bat an eye he just took care of it. I will recommend Gem Dynasty to anyone I know looking for diamond engagement rings.

My fiance was referred to Gem Dynasty by a friend, and bought my diamond engagement ring through them. He could not have been happier with the caliber of service. He worked with Frank and he helped him to find/buy the most beautiful diamond engagement ring!! (I can attest). Since proposing, we've touched based w/ Frank a few times & I took my ring into to get sized & he was most helpful. We have referred 2 friends there :) It's the place to go for quality & outstanding customer service!

I'll have to admit I was a bit intimidated walking down Jeweler's Row. I had looked at a few rings here and there online, but really had no idea what I was doing or how to go about making such an important decision. I saw all the fantastic reviews for Gem Dynastyand after seeing a few rings on their website, I made an appointment to see my options in person.



Frank was great to work with and helped me select a beautiful diamond engagement ring that my new fiancee just loves. She really can't stop looking at it!



I received updates every step of the way, and the ring was even done earlier than anticipated. Since I chose the ring myself, I do have to get it ever so slightly re-sized, but even that process only amounts to dropping it off and picking it up at my convenience.



I can't compare this experience to any others (since buying an engagement ring is really a one time thing), but I cannot imagine I would receive the same level of service had I gone to one of the big chains you see advertised on TV every 5 minutes during the holidays.
