General Info: Located in Kingston, N.C., The City of Kinston's Department of Public Services provides a range of services to citizens. Its services include cemetery management, electricity, garbage and waste collection, recycling and pest control. The department operates thorough electric, energy, fleet maintenance, solid waste, stormwater, streets, vector control and wastewater divisions. Its buildings and grounds section is responsible for the repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilating systems, groundskeeping and supervision of janitorial cleaning of various government buildings. The department s water division specializes in the treatment of water. It offers commercial solid waste, residential garbage, bulk vegetative and nonvegetative trash and white goods removal services through its environment services division.
