Four Winds Child Development

I rarely leave reviews but felt one needed to be left here. Most parents depend on these to make the best judgment outside of referrals from friends and family. My daughter was born in 2022 and my husband and I had decided we were going the nanny route until we could put her in daycare. We were on multiple wait lists for months, if not a year. We were struggling like everyone else to find a daycare quickly, so when our nanny had to quit due to health reasons we were in a bind and needed a solution fast. We checked multiple daycares and found ourselves at a loss because nothing was available. Eventually, someone mentioned Four Winds and stated that their kids went there years ago, and they loved it. I'm going to tell you, I was skeptical because it seemed all the good daycares were booked, and it seemed strange that this location had an opening.

We checked it out, the facility is clean, spotless, organized, and honestly a hidden gem. All the kids were happy, and I felt that my baby girl was going to be safe because the ladies love what they do. They are old school and don't have cameras so you can't chime in at all hours of the day to see your kid, but honestly, I wouldn't be able to focus on work if I had it. My daughter is on schedule with all her development and is learning so many things. I leave her every morning and she is excited to be with her friends and loves all the teachers (that's a win in my book that she doesn't cry every time I leave her).

I would recommend this daycare and child development to anyone. We feel lucky to have found this place.

I had heard great reviews on this daycare from past customers. Unfortunately I can not say my experience has matched up. Many days when I pick up my child the teachers are overwhelmed or at their wits end. Trying to get information on my child's day is hard. Either the teacher can not talk or there was another teacher/assistant there during nap or lunch. The rooms are filled to the max. I would give their curriculum 3.5/4 stars and while I don't believe many if any of the teachers have any early development degrees they are trained in house by the owner. I have had several instance of unclean diaper or clean diapers with behinds that were still dirty. When I try to bring up any issues with the school they get very defensive. We do like parts of the school but it has definitely changed from the gem it was in the past. Not sure how much longer we will stay.
