I agree with the other reviewers. I have purchased a great deal of yarn in the past, but no more. Today, I was trying to have the owner help me pick out a yarn that I wanted to substitute in a pattern. She kept saying she needed to see the other yarn I had used. You're right. She doesn't want to be bothered. She kept checking her ipad and her phone. I didn't feel like driving to Snyder for another yarn store that I love. I should have. However, there is a teacher there on Tues, Heather, who is wonderful. Very helpful. If I could give 1/2 star I would. The owner has NO customer service. No more purchases!
Beautiful selection of yarns . Many hand dyes. Friendly, helpful staff.
The yarn is fine. The people who work there are horrible. My money spends better at a place who doesn't mind me shopping in their store. I really think they go out of their way to make people feel uncomfortable. (maybe it's a front for some sort of yarn cult. ha). I won't go back. Three strikes your out.
Great yarn selection, but this store has two large drawbacks. Although many older (and out-of-print) books and magazines are offered, they are often in an extremely poor condition. Customers are expected to pay full price for them anyway, no discussion. What will keep me from ever returning there again is the hostility they show towards children. I have been there a total of three times with my kids. They behaved beautifully every time and yet the people working there made derisive comments about children the whole time and practically herded us to the door after we made our purchase. The first time I tossed it off to a bad day, but after three times, I can say that I have had it.There are other yarn shops in Buffalo with great selections in yarn, books and notions - and much nicer service to boot!
