I've shopped at this store and the pharmacy for 20 years and can say that the service has always been great. Dealing with the public, insurance carriers, and prescription drug companies can be a nightmare. I think they do a phenomenal job trying to keep everything moving forward filling prescriptions and dealing with irate customers. It's not the pharmacist's fault if a doctor hasn't approved a refill, if a prescription drug or insurance carrier won't cover it, if someone hasn't met their annual deductible, if a prescription is ridiculously priced, or if they have to use a generic. I've watched the staff diffuse ugly situations over the years, but remember they only the messengers.
i had to drive from westlake after the pharmacy in our area was closed. i was pleased to be helped by a very nice staff. Their pharmacist went over my medications with me and was very friendly. A special thanks to all the staff at that store.
Walgreen's is convenient for prescriptions and over the counter medicines. The wait is reasonable and the employees courteous. They also carry food and other household items. Generally have a good school supply section.
Great people working there, very helpful. HOWEVER there are always transients near the door, red box, pay phone and parking lot asking for money. As an ex-marine its still creepy, I really don't like my wife going there after dark, I hate the fact that my senior parents shop there for their meds…
I am a doctor's representative at a doctor's office in Austin and frequently have to call in prescriptions or fill out prescription refill faxes. A patient called to tell me that this Walgreen's was having trouble faxing us paperwork, so I decided to call and clarify the situation. \r \r The p…
The man working the counter was extrememly rude. I had a broken foot that was tightly wrapped in gauze to stop bleeding. In order to fill my prescrption he needed my employer's phone number. I did not have the number handy. He refused to allow me to use his phone book to look it up. He also refu…
They charge $1.39 for a 1.25 liter of Coke when other locations charge only $1.09. Register rewards equipment not working and they expect me to pay for a stamp to retrieve by mail a .99 RR. Crazy. Avoid this location.
I owe my health to my doctor and to Tom and his staff.... They helped me get on to the road to true health. The prices are the same as the big box stores. A wonderful Austin treasure... Find out how good you can really feel...
This has to be one of the busiest CVS pharmacy's in the area. However, they are quick, efficient, friendly and helpful. This CVS beats out every pharmacy I have been to in the past.
