YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

when you ask petland where the puppies come from they tell you they come from usda licensed breeders. if pushed further, they will say they come from a broker called the hunte corporation. what they don't tell you is that hunte happily buys from unlicensed breeders, that usda licensing means that these puppies are governed by the same minimal standards for the animals we eat, and that the hunte corporation and their suppliers repeatedly fail these minimum standards themselves and are constantly in violation. they don't tell you that hunte has a grade of F with the better business bureau. they don't tell you that the only reason the class action suits against petland and hunte were dismissed is because puppy mills are perfectly legal in the united states, and it should be obvious that this is the only way that both hunte and petland could acquire 80,000 puppies a year. 3 retiring hunte drivers told me personally that the dogs come from puppy mills before they quit. yes, i used to work there, and this is exactly why i no longer work there. you have no idea how many puppies get sick within a week or are later diagnosed with congenital defects. 50% of the puppy "inventory" will get sick within a week of arrival or later be diagnosed with a defect like hip dysplasia. if you work for petland, either wake up, or grow a spine and a conscience. obviously the people reading this have heard of google. how is it none of you have? one violation by hunte was a mass grave of puppy carcasses that violated animal disposal law. it has been estimated that hunte disposes of 220 lbs of puppy a month, which would be about 50 puppies. it is speculated that some of these are euthanized for being "unsellable," either because they failed to meet breed standards, or because they were too old (10 weeks). examples of both were found in the grave, however, due to decomposition, cause of death was unknown. if you work for either of these corporations, or by patronage you support them, you are supporting the largest organized act of animal cruelty in the united states. this is not an exaggeration.
