We hired Modern Landscapes to remove an unsightly patch of bamboo and weeds and replace it with new plantings of trees and shrubs to provide a privacy screen. Fred listened patiently to our maddeningly vague suggestions and translated them into a lovely design, and implemented it quickly. We're very happy with the results!

I cannot recommend Fred and his team at Modern landscapes enough!!! We had water coming in the ground floor of our home and after modern landscapes installed a French drain, waterproofed the foundation, and regraded we have had no water issues at all! We also had a beautiful paver patio installed to replace an ugly concrete slab. The team was professional and did a great job cleaning up. Thank you Fred and Modern landscapes for solving our nightmare water issue and giving us a beautiful paver patio!

We knew when we bought our new house we would immediately need some trees removed for safety reasons and also to let some sunlight in. We called several people that were recommended to us and then my husband called Modern Landscaping on a whim since they were right down the street. Fred came out the next night when we got home from work. We liked him right away - he didn't seem like he was trying to "sell" us anything more than we were requesting and actually talked us out of removing on of the trees on our list (which would of been more money in his pocket) and told us to just trim it up......so we did. His pricing was so reasonable we gave him the job on the spot. We're so happy with the work he completed for us (two trees removed, five stumps ground, and one tree trimmed) - we will absolutely use them again soon for other work we want done.

I can't recommend Fred and his crew highly enough. Their attention to detail and seeing the job through to completion was first rate. My job required coordination with multiple entities over several months and he handled each with an eye toward keeping the job moving forward. I would hire Modern Landscapes again in a heartbeat.

Fred and his group of guys patched a huge crack in my foundation wall and waterproofed it with a 10 year no leak guarantee. The job was done in 1 day and they were courteous, polite and easy to work with. They cleaned up afterward and left the area as they found it.. We have had several heavy rains since then and so far, so good!

Love these guys!!! We just moved to a new home and had trees that were unsafe and too close to the property. My neighbor had used Modern Landscape and recommended them highly. I had a couple of estimates to cut down 4 huge dead trees and take out some bushes. Fred gave me the best price for the work. He and his men worked tirelessly. They were on-time, fast and sweet. It only took them 2 1/2 days and after each day they cleaned up the yard so it'll look good. They even took in my trash cans on trash day. It was amazing to watch, a feat of strength that Fred made look easy. I know when I have more work to do, I will call Modern Landscapes. I highly recommend them.

We recently had Fred and his crew from Modern Landscapes install a huge new EP Henry Patio with raised exterior walls & lighting in the back of our house. First we met with Fred to discuss what we were trying to achieve. He was extremely helpful with ideas, designs and the aesthetics of what we were looking, all the while being mindful of our time requirements and reasonable budget. His crew arrived on time and immediately got to work & within 6-7 of extended work days he was completely finished and everything looks unbelievable. Our new Patio makes our house now look like a "Castle" Fred and his Crew are complete professionals from beginning to end. They took complete care of removing and replacing any fences, shrubs, and grass that were affected during construction. There are a lot of people who claim to know what they are doing when it comes to Pavers, but few who have the expertise demonstrated by Fred. He is a hands on proprietor and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fred and his crew at Modern Landscapes, Inc. can be described as exceptional in overall value and exceptional in exceeding our expectations. We had our front walkway and landing replaced (388 sf) with EP Henry pavers, a low voltage lighting system installed (6 well lights, 3 landing step lights, path lights, 300 watt transformer and timer) and a total overhaul of landscaping to make our house feel more like our home. Fred and his crew started when promised, on-time and prioritized our project as if it were his own home. Fred was on-site, all day. I would recommend Modern Landscapes for your outdoor landscaping projects. The crew was polite, professional, and did a great job, of cleaning up AFTER the project was completed (which is very rare by any contractor these days). Fred, the owner was onsite the entire project, and provided great suggestions and ideas. I actually learned some good tips, from Fred, for future projects.

Modern Landscaping started when they said. Finished when they said. On-time and on budget. The finished product is beautiful. My neighbors keep remarking how stunning my new stone porch is. They were considerate of my neighbors and others on the street. They cleaned up at the end of every day. Best of all, Fred is a great listener. Fred cared about my input during construction. Modern Landscapes Inc installed an E.P. Henry Terrace Wall across the front of my house (approx 95 lf) with return curves at the front door. They also installed a wall at sidewalk/step interface as well as approx 93 feet of concrete sidwalk, driveway apron, steps and landing. It looks great. Fred and his crew did an outstanding job. The one thing I liked the most was once he started he did not leave until the job was done. As an after thought I had them install an E.P. Henry English Garden wall at the left side of the house. This company has done an excellent job in transforming the landscape of my home in Cheltenham PA over the past 2 years. Fred Giovinazzo, the President of the company, is professional, trustworthy, dependable, and well versed.
