Beginning in 1952, the Allis-Chalmers line was offered to the residents of Southeastern Illinois. In subsequent years many other lines have been added to serve the residents of the area. Herschel Johnson Implement, Inc., is a 3 generation, family owned business established in 1952, by Herschel J. Johnson and his wife Doris. The business was established based on service. Their eldest son, Leon, joined the business in 1977 and is now the owner of Herschel Johnson Implement. Leon's daughter Melissa Harrison joined the Sales team in 2004. Another of Leon's daughters joined the management team in 2011. We and our employees strive to stay abreast of the latest technology. Employees attend periodic sales and service training schools. We have an emergency backup generator system that will automatically turn on with any loss of electrical power; therefore we can continue on our normal schedule serving our customers with as little interruption or down time as possible. Our facility is also equipped with an alarm system and camera surveillance system designed to protect our personal property but also the personal property of our customer's equipment that might be in our service shop.
