The dogs are so cramped up in those small kennels and lay on either the cement or a hard wooden bunk. Go to a different pet resort or kennel.

Lets get the facts straight PLEASE!

Hi....I am Rick, the owner along with my wife, Pam, of Tip Top Kennels. I would like to set the facts straight about the review by Mr. esteban.simpson......if I may.

They did call us in advance to say they would be picking up their dog Tuffy a little after our office closed and DEMANDED that someone be in the office after hours to give them their dog. My wife and I agreed to wait an additional 15 minutes to accommodate these folks but we had to leave at 6:15 as we were teaching a dog obedience class. If I had to stay beyond that time, they agreed, on the phone, to pay the out of hours charge as I would not be able to teach this class and attend the rest of the evening with my wife. At 6:15 I DID write out a bill that included the late charge, as agreed by these people. They were not only later than 9 minutes but showed up over 45 minutes after our office closed. I myself think they were being very unreasonable. At that point I told them to come back in the morning and their bill would not increase at all, as if they came before our office closed. In fact I would give them the next morning free....I just wanted to joint my wife at this point.

Mr and Ms. esteban.simpson refused to leave our office, let alone our property and I felt threaten by their actions...I had to remind this man that our video cameras were on and recording, but he did not calm down. I was forced to call the Buena Police to our property to have them removed. Mr Simpson is right about one thing....he will never bring his dog back to us because we told him he is not welcome here again...... we only do business with nice people and nice dogs.....and Tuffy is a lovely little dog.

We have been owners of Tip Top Kennels for over 30 years. We are always pleasant and informative on the phone and in our office. We take fantastic care of our dogs and our customers. This is why we have been awarded the "Best of the Best" of Kennel, groomers and dog trainers many times over.

I left my dog here for 4 nights and an unwanted 5th night. My girlfriend and I call Tip Top Kennel in advance to tell them we are going to be a little late picking our dog up because we were just at the airport getting back from Florida. After a long day all we wanted to do was pick up our dog Tuffy who we missed so much. We show up 9 minutes after they close and they extremely irritable unfriendly owner tells us we have to pay $90 or come back the next day because we were late, mind you the bill is ALREADY written up before we get there, me and my girlfriend are 21 years old and barley had enough money to keep him there yet alone dish out $90 more because we were 9 minutes late. On top of this my girlfriend calls while on vacation to check on our puppy. The woman on the phone was very short with her and literally hung up the phone. Business should not be conducted in this manner and I am very disappointed in my experience with them. Will never ever bring our dog back to them because they were so unprofessional.

I have been taking my German Shepherds to Tip Top for years and they love it there. I've both boarded and had them bathed there. They have never had an issue. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they provide excellent services.

I am the owner of Tip Top Kennel. The dog owner reporting her dog did not do well here brought us a terribly matted Havanese (long haired dog). This poor little guy had to be shaved to have the mats removed. He was snapping and trying to bite the whole time we worked on him. We regret the owner being unhappy, but strongly suggest the dog is groomed somewhere more frequently to avoid bad experiences at the groomer. We have been in business for 30 years and have never intentionally injured or frightened a dog!

I have been going to this place for over 15 years. My cocker spaniel loves it there. She is always happy to see everyone there. She always comes home clean and happy from boarding and the hair cuts are top notch. Everyone there is friendly and the kennel is very clean. Highly recommend this place, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I would not recommend this place to a stray. The traumatized my dog so much it took me three weeks to get him to cuddle with me again. The hair cut was choppy and a whole piece was missing on the right side of his face.

I don't like giving bad reviews and usually keep my opinion to my self when it comes to having to write it down...but someone has to say something!! They hurt my dog1
