A-Verdi Self Storage Marcy

I recently moved out & never had a problem. The staff was always nice, willing to take my card or checks for payment. The place itself was kept clean & neat.

They submitted two payments incorrectly to the bank, so the banks declined to pay. I called the bank and was told A-Verdi submitted the payment information incorrectly. A-Verdi insists on charging me late fees and refuses to call the bank to verify that it was A-Verdi's error. The bank is willing to verify if they call. I'm locked out of my unit and to get my stuff back I agreed in protest to pay the back rent, the late fees, and one month of rent into the future month to give me time to remove my stuff. I was told I owed a certain amount and agreed to it. After I complained to the owners about the late fees, the person handling my account said she'd calculate a higher amount that the one originally quoted me. I said I wouldn't pay the new higher amount but I was willing to pay the one originally quoted. She wouldn't go for that and wants my lawyer to call her. It's A-Verdi's error and they won't even call the bank to verify they submitted the payment information incorrectly!
