Pros : No appointment needed for eye exam.



Cons : Costly, Slow in everything, No suggestion about glasses to pick and trying to sell high end lens & glasses.





Personally I don't like the idea of big chains, more over because I could have ordered online and saved much more. Even with insurance price seems way higher and customer service is miserable and painfully slow.



On (6/1/2012) I needed eye exam badly and these people had walk-in eye exam option and were in my vision provider's network. After putting 2 hours in line for a vision exam & paying $30 for *** special laser eye examination *** ( like eye dilation but not covered under vsp insurance), I came to know that my number has changed.



So I went again taking 30 mins off just to select my glasses. But had to wait two hours "really" just to have my glasses selected. Front desk ladies were not in great mood and chating among themselves, worse than DMV offices.



One lady said you can select your glasses and we would call your name. After one hour later my name was called, I wasn't told about any deals or which kind of glasses would suit me just greeted politely, she was pretty tired given the trouble she had in contacting my insurance provider.



So she was finally able to bill me after LOT of trouble with her system and asked my credit card. To my shock she said your glasses can be picket after 2 weeks.



Me: ) Why I am supposed wait for two weeks to get my glasses?



Representative: ) Because we need to verify with vsp and they take two weeks to approve basic vision glasses.



Me: ) Can I call and check when you have been approved by vsp ?



Representative: ) No you MUST come at 3:00 PM on 6/30, you don't need to call us.



Me: ) You understand that my current glasses/lenses are scratched and I really find hard to wait two weeks to get a pair.



Representative: ) I do, I am so sorry. It's how this works with us and your vision provider.
