Five Star Care

After working in the yard this week I found 4 bug bites on my ankles. Thursday evening they were just itchy. Friday morning the redness spread to 4" high on each leg. By Saturday I could hardly walk from the stiffness and pain so a friend drove me to Hudson Five Star UC.

Before going I checked the internet and webmd said to wait at least 48 hours, I went after 52 hours.

What a waste of time! While the staff was friendly the PA didn't listen to one word I said. I've had this happen to me before - about 10 years ago and was told by a Dr Rahmani that I could have died because I waited so long, yet even being told this, the PA would not prescribe antibiotics to me. He told me if the redness gets larger by Monday I should go see my Dr. Really! ! ! I'm 66 years old and know what's going on with my body. While this PA had an ear on either side of his head he failed to hear me.

I walked out and went to CMH Urgent care in Valatie where they immediately prescribed an antibiotic and was told if it gets worse to go directly to the hospital.

As far as I'm concerned, Five Star UC is nothing more than medical waste. Don't bother going there for care.
