Half Price Mattress

I bought a queen size bed from them with leather backboard and slats instead of a box spring. Delivered everything except the slats.

Was told would get the slats the next day. Next day they called and said they only had King Slats, no queen and would deliver on Monday. Monday called them with no call back, they never showed up. Called Driver Tuesday and he said he would come Wed with the slats. Called Wed and no return call, and he never showed up. Called main office Thursday, to be cut off shortly and told they would call me back in 15 minutes. Never called back.

We got a great deal on a beautiful brand new Serta adjustable memory foam bed and we couldn't be happier! Excellent service and awesome product! Im so happy I didn't pay any attention to those negative reviews!

I have had a horrible time looking for a new mattress when my hairdresser told me her daughter, Alexandra worked at an outlet on Johnson Street, just East of 441. After hitting up Rooms2Go and Sears with their Labor Day flyers, I wasn't seeing anything decent that didn't cost more than my car, so I took my boyfriend and we checked out 1/2 Price Mattress. Alexandra was super nice, and we spent about an hour in the showroom, rolling around, pressure free. We decided on a Simmons ReCharge Plush Queen Set for $550 (same bed on Macy's website said $1170 plus delivery!). We followed Carlos from the showroom to their warehouse and were home within the hour and I cannot believe how much better my back feels sleeping on a real mattress. I gotta remember to give Doina a huge tip on my next visit for sending me there, I saved over $600!!!

I bought my first mattress there in 2004 and it was great! My mattress was very well priced, delivered well and I still love it! I was so pleased I sent multiple people over there in the past few years. So when I moved to a new city, I actually went there to buy 2 new king size mattresses to take with me. There must be a change in management cause my experience was horrible. When you go to the "showroom", they show you showroom quality mattresses at a fair price. When you get to the warehouse to pick up the mattress (Its a good drive away from the showroom, don't let them convince you it's down the street), you can see that the reason they get them is cause the retailers don't want them. The mattresses are filthy, ripped, have water damage, etc. Still I trusted them cause I was a previous customer, and I loaded them both into the truck and drove all the way to Texas to realize that they gave me the wrong mattress! 1 was extra plush pillowtop (which I wanted) and the other is super firm! I called the store manager almost 10 times in the last 4 months and have never received a call back. I tried selling it but no one wants to buy it cause of the dirty stains on it! I can't believe that they would treat a customer like this. And remember no warranties!



Beware! I will never go back to this store or recommend it to anyone ever again. Spend the extra few bucks and go to mattress firm. I bought a mattress from them and when it was being delivered, it rained and the mattress got wet (through the plastic). I called them and I had a brand new mattress the very next day! Quality and customer service is worth the extra few bucks!

AWFUL! DO NOT GO HERE THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

We went to the store & picked out a mattress. The girl that works there was very convincing. She told us it would arrive the next day between 8am & 1pm. It finally arrived at 4pm. After we layed on it for a while we realized it was softer than what we wanted. We looked at the tag any it was the WRONG bed. We called the store, and they said they would bring the right bed in two days. They said it would arrive between 10a-2pm in a couple days. It came at 5pm (go figure). This bed was also the WRONG BED. So now we go back and check the tag on the bed we chose and take pictures. All the time the girl working there place blame on the delivery guys. Meanwhile we looked at the receipt with the manager and it was written wrong from the beginning. So now we are on waiting for the 3rd bed. It arrives with holes in it and deep sagging spots in it. Again we have to go back to the store. They offer us any mattress we want for the inconvenience. We find one we like and they tell us we should have it in a few days. We waited a week for the new mattress to come. This too is not the one we chose at the store. This establishment is full of people who will LIE to you and do ANYTHING TO GET OVER ON YOU. The owner we spoke to is RUDE and YELLS when you try to tell him what is wrong. He even had the nerve to say he "wanted us to buy more mattresses from him". You will find better deals else ware, DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE UNLESS YOU ARE GIVING THE MATTRESS TO SOMEONE YOU DON'T LIKE. God help anyone who doesn't do their research on this place. We didn't. BIG MISTAKE. We got a GROUPON for this place and it was the worst Groupon we have ever spent our money on.

I bought a mattress here a month ago let me tell you what a horrible experience I had with this people after I bought the mattress and waited to be deliver for two days finally I get the mattress deliver to find out they send me the wrong mattress two more days for another mattress just to find out that the mattress says in red letter all over the side of it NO WARRANTY AS IS the mattress was dirty and also had a hole on it so I call and ask why there is no warranty on a brand new bed and why is it dirty and with a hold the sales person say the provide the warranty them self because this are returns and refurbish from other stores, so I returned the mattress my self because they did not wanted to pick it up they also did not want to return my money I had to put it to disputed trough my bank it took almost a month to get the money back. If you don’t know what returns and refurbish means it means this where use mattress by other people you don’t who this people are or what they did in that mattress wile they had it that is just plain nasty do you self a favor don’t buy at this place is you care about you and your family

This by far is the worst experience I've had in buying a mattress. I bought a voucher for $50 to receive $200 off the purchase of a mattress. The voucher also stated I could use it in-store or online on there website. When I couldn't purchase it via the website I was told that was an error on the voucher but they allowed me to buy the mattress at the website price since that issue was on there end. So I placed my order for the Full Size Plush Pillowtop Beautyrest Mattress on 1/5/13 with their salesperson and I am now receiving the mattress today 2/2/13, the WRONG mattress at that. The sales rep told me about a week after placing my order that the voucher was only good for Queen or King size mattresses but he'd go through with the purchase if I paid an additional $50 on top of the $50 I paid for the voucher and the $21.54 I paid in stor when I placed the order, which I did. Fast forward to today when it's time to pick up the mattress almost a month later after weeks of them telling me they had to order it or there's no one at the warehouse and they'd call me back,which they never did. I had to call them everytime. Now for me to pick it up I am being told that I have to take a Plush Full Size mattress instead of what I was told I paid for and order which was a Plush Pillowtop Mattress. I was told by the owner that I have to take it or get a refund because he's not in the business of losing money and he should have been told about the arrangements the sales rep made, mind you my receipt says Full Size Plush Pillowtop Mattress . I didn't know I was suppose to search for the owner when a sales rep makes a sale/deal with a customer, I didn't think that was part of my job. He was very loud, obnoxious, and a real jerk over the phone. Personally I will NEVER make a purchase and will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone I know. The only person there who knows what customer service is there is Carlo.

I purchased a $700 bed (mattress and box) from the company yesterday and was informed by the sales lady that I was getting a brand new mattress with box in plastic and a stand-behind-the- product store warranty of 5 years which would be delivered to me the same day. The item that was delivered to me had water damaged bed that the company attempt to clean with a dirty box spring in plastic which both had tags attached that stated "AS IS NO WARRANTY" and "SAMPLE" which was never disclosed to me prior to making my purchase with them that this was the type of bedding I was getting. I contacted the company immediately and left them know of the issue and they stated they would bring me a new bed that same day to rectify the issue. Well, that did not occurred, instead, I was given the run-around (from the delivery boy is on another delivery to it is raining at the location) and the issue was not resolved. Today, I went to the store and was present regarding my issue and first spoke to another sales lady who preferred me to a person to be the owner who tried to bargain with me and give me several options including: "$100 off - to be given as a refund, 10 year warranty, $75 off - to be given as a refund, and finally $200 off to be given as a refund.I refused all and informed that I either want what was promised "brand new mattress with box with a perfect tag (I do not want a bed with a tag labeled "AS IS NO WARRANTY" or "SAMPLE") and manufacturer's warranty or my money back. The person who was acting as the owner attempted to offer me the $200 off (to be presented as a refund) again and a newer bed and I continued to refuse the offer and at this pointed stated I want a full refund and for the company to take their product out of my home. He proceeded to agree to my offering and was okay to the deal. Low and below he later left the premises and when I inquire about his whereabouts and when they would be taking the bed to give me my refund I was then told the person (who was presented to me as the owner) was not the owner and that the owner was actually out of town until next week Tuesday and this matter could not be resolved until then. To make matters worst, the person who was presented to me and acted as the owner left with my receipt, but thank God I made a copy of it before presenting it to them. I have family members coming into town on that day and now do not have a bed for them to sleep on because the bed that was given to me has water damage which is a health concern because most likely there is mold and bacteria growth within the mattress.



I am prepared for small claims court procedures by documenting all my receipts, taken photographs, and video tape of the premises. I have since filed a report with the Hollywood police, BBB, the Florida Attorney General, and FTC. I'm seeking legal counseling and ready and prepared to win my case.





Wish I knew and was informed that they were in the business of reconditioning/re-using mattress. I would have never spend $800+ in that place. I wouldn't given have driven by there.

I wish all my shopping experiences were this easy and satisfying. I wanted to replace my King sized mattress since I was finding it difficult to sleep on it since my wife passed away and I felt now was the best time for a change. The Tempur-Pedic always piqued my curiosity so I talked to some friends and several of them urged me to try the Half Price Mattress joint on Johnson Street. I took their advice and a young man by the name of Mitch was extremely helpful and more importantly he had an unbelievable inventory of high end Simmons mattresses. He sold me on a Simmons NXG with Memoryfoam and Latex that cost over Four Grand at the Fancy Retailers, but he was able to sell it to me for less than a grand. Since I was referred by friends, he gave me free delivery and I promised to go online and write a good review if I slept good. Well tell you what, I have been sleeping unbelievably well and that is a good thing. Thank you Mitch and your Half Price Mattress.

A few weeks ago, I met Mitch at our sons' basketball game. He mentioned he owned a mattress shop and I was in the market for a new mattress as I have been on the same mattress forever, so I went down to his shop the next day with my wife and she absolutely fell in love with this Simmons World Class SuperPillowTop. Can you believe they delivered it to our home that same day? After they took our old mattress away, my wife and I couldn't believe how we made it through all those years. What is unbelievable is we paid about a third what we could find the same model for on Google or anywhere else online. Thanks Mitch, I'm gonna let everyody at the school I teach at know about you guys! I love my Simmons!

I heard about this place by searching on google. I read the reviews and realized that these guys are not a franchise, as a matter of fact they are a small family business. So i decided to check it out. I ended up buying a twin set for my daughter, full set for my son and a king set for my husband and I, all Simmons Beautyrest for under 1,200 with delivery. Frames were separate at about 35-50 per set. Mattress Giant's best offer was 2,500 not including delivery of frames! Sales man had a great attitude about meeting my needs. Delivery was not quite on time and i felt like the delivery man was just there to be there not much enthusiasm on his part, but i got a hell of a deal for name brand beds!

I recently went to Macy's looking for a king Simmons Beautyrest Black Lable "Kalyn", on sale the mattress costed 4,500 for a king set. I shopped around and that was the cheapest i could find in that make and model, until i saw a sign with Halfprice mattress on a pick up truck. I called, went in and i was shocked to see that the same exact mattress, i'm saying "exact!" they had it at 2,200. Same make and model. I couldn't believe it. The only concern for me was a scuff on the right corner, then i realized it will be covered with a bed sheet anyway. I was leaving out of town that night and need the mattress right away. That was not possible for them. So we scheduled for a soon as i got back, well they forgot. I called 2 times that day. At that point i was a bit upset. Finally Mitch (owner) called me back about 5pm, he apologized for the delay promising he will have it to me before i went to bed that night. Eddie the delivery man finally showed up about 8:30 that night with a great attitude, he helped me set up the mattress and took away the old one. I slept very well on the mattress all and all i kept thinking "I got an unbelievble deal". They have all kinds of other mattresses not just Simmons Beautyrest. I will be referring them to family and friends!

I purchased a queen size world class set for $495.00 about a month ago from these guys. The sale's rep was a woman, she was very nice and truthful about what i needed for my back. As my chiropractor has told me in the past. Firm is best for the back! I put my name on the mattress i chose. We scheduled delivery for the following Monday between 4-7. I receive a call that Monday about 6pm from Eddie the delivery man, he explained to me that he is stuck in traffic but he will try his best to make to me as soon as he can. I told him i have to be at an interview at 7:30 to call me at 7. To my surprise 10 minutes to 7 he showed up and in 15 minutes assembles and left! The mattress is a bit firmer than i expected but after several weeks i started feeling better and more restful in the mornings! I have seen some of the other comments posted. Overall i had a great experience with these guys would recommend them any day. They did very well with the days and timing.

Nice Simmons Beautyrest Mattress paid $295 for it, delivered same day, friendly help. Honest Quick, no games. Will be refering friends and family. Thank Anne-Marie for all your help.
