McConnell Elementary School offers a variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular programs to more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes several subjects, such as music, cultural arts, technology and physical education. It also provides classes in English, math, science, social studies and language arts. McConnell Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association that sponsors fundraising events and parent-teacher conferences. The school s library stocks a range of picture dictionaries, textbooks, puzzles, and fiction and nonfiction books. Its facilities include a technology lab, cafeteria, playground and classrooms. Located in Hixson, Tenn., McConnell Elementary School is governed by the Hamilton County Department of Education.
