Tap 'n Arts Dance Studio of Harrisburg

I feel as though there are much better options out there for my child. The staff seem to ignore my child and do not encourage her to open up and dance. They seem to have a clique of parents and staff and I have yet to be greeted with a hello or a smile, even when dropping off my payment. My child loves to dance and I feel more time needs to be spent encouraging ALL students to dance not to just pick and choose favorites. My child is shy but if she is shown that she belongs with these other children she would do fine, but they do nothing to encourage her. I wish I could say something great about this school but my experience was not what it should have been. If your child is older and does not shy away then it could be a good choice for you. Another extremly annoying thing is that there is very little seating for the parents. There are always parents who are sitting on the floor in the hallway due to the fact that there is very little seating and many parents waiting.

What is Guest23228 talking about? Besides Tap n Arts, my daughter has been to 3 other area dance schools over the years (Hershey, Harrisburg/Hershey and Camp Hill). Technically Tap n Arts is the best of all 3. Their tap dance skills is above average. Their family atmosphere is great compared to the isolation felt at the other schools where it seems you are simply another tuition payment.

Tap 'n Arts is a great dance school for students who would like to learn proper technique, gain confidence and lasting friendships in a nurturing, noncompetitive environment. Their students are given the opportunity to be creative, original and express themselves through the art of dance. They offer tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, cheer dance and musical theatre. Recently, they began offering combination classes for some of the younger students called Triple Threat. Although their primary dance season begins in the Fall and runs through the Spring, they do offer 6 week summer dance sessions. Each year they have a dance recital / show at the Forum Building Auditorium in downtown Harrisburg.

Tap n Arts Dance Studio provides training in tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop to students of all ages and levels; ranging from two through adult. Emphasis is placed upon proper techniques, while having fun, being creative and expressing individuality through the art of dance.
