The Tri-County Health Department serves more than 1,250,000 residents of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties in Colorado. It offers a range of public health services, such as providing immunizations, family planning and prenatal care, improving nutrition, conducting restaurant inspections and assuring sanitation. The department also provides various dental services, including X-rays, cleanings, fillings and replacement of bridges, crowns and dentures. The Tri-County Health Department s nursing services include children's developmental screening, childhood immunization, case management for pregnant women and cancer screening. In addition, it specializes in preventing infectious diseases, such as hepatitis A, meningitis and whooping cough. The department also offers a special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children. It is located in Greenwood Village, Colo.
