Tanglewood North Apartments

I really enjoyed living at this apartment complex. The management and staff are always friendly and willing to help. I have had minimal problems with my unit, however when problems did arise the maintenance staff were always quick to respond and fix my things.

Another great thing about Tanglewood is that there is a 24 hour HEB about 5 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. If you're a UT Austin student, like I am, the shuttle is very convenient. It's directly across from tanglewood, so getting to school is easy and fast.

It's relatively cheaper living here than in many Hyde park apartment complexes, where rent is surging. I highly recommend this place.

This apartment complex is truly disgusting. It's great that they pay your heating and cooling, however I am still paying $650 for my bedroom in a 2x2 for an apartment that is infested with rats, roaches, and spiders. Our appliances break regularly and the maintenance team takes 3-7 days before they even come into our apartment (IF they even come). My entire bedroom and bathroom were flooded for a period of 5 days before they finally came in here. Whenever the sink broke, the maintenance man took everything out from underneath the sink, did NOT fix the sink, and then LEFT my roommates things all over the bathroom floor covered in water. There is poor communication between the front office and maintenance team and things consistently get overlooked. It has been 2 months since we found our first rat and we have been to the office 15-20 times since asking them to take care of it. The most they have done is set out two rat traps. Unacceptable. This place is a joke.
