Kidney Stones
Passing a kidney stone can be very painful. Shock wave lithotripsy is a treatment that helps by breaking the kidney stone into smaller pieces that are easier to pass. This treatment is also called extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL).
Prostate Cancer
Frank E. Glover, Jr., MD, Dr. PH, MPH, F.A.C.S., is a Board-Certified Urologist. Dr. Glover, Director of The Urology Institute, has earned two doctoral degrees and completed his fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Glover’s discovery of the world’s highest rate of prostate cancer in Jamaica has been internationally recognized and published in American Journal of Urology and numerous journals and textbooks. Dr. Glover has performed thousands of urologic procedures related to bladder control, prostate treatment, kidney stones and impotence. Dr. Glover is also the recipient of the National Medial Association Physician of the Year Award.

Ultrasound
Chances are, you’ve had a test that raises a suspicion of cancer in your prostate. You’re now scheduled for a prostate ultrasound and prostate biopsy. Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the prostate gland. These help guide the doctor in taking samples of tissue (biopsies) from the prostate. The samples are then checked for cancer cells.

Vasectomy
A vasectomy is a surgical procedure that makes a man sterile (unable to father a child). It is safe, simple, and effective. The no-scalpel procedure is done without incisions or stitches. Healing is often faster than with the traditional method. Before having a vasectomy, talk to your partner. Any vasectomy should be considered permanent.
